Must try harder!

It is hard to save anything these days, I have the usual pots attached to my bank account but I have a another account that isn't on-line, I have no card for and have to go into the branch to withdraw anything (or out anything in) as its in the city I have to really think about it, as I hate going up there! So don't normally bother. We all have to find the way that works for us, and with me it's 'out of sight, out of mind' kind of way.

Thank you all for your solidarity and insights into the difficulties of saving. I love you all! 

Today is a planned no spend day after yesterday’s spends. It is lovely to lay about in bed coming around, normally I’d have been (crying) at my desk for an hour by now 😬
we checked the wildlife camera yesterday and…nothing! The bait was gone so we think it was set too high. I put down some more goodies in a clearing and we set it again. On a test it got a massive yeti style creature (me 😟), but not dog, so we adjusted it lower and tried again. It seemed to be set ok, so we shall see. Where it’s set now we may only get bunnies….and we see those just looking out of the windows, so I’m hoping for the monkey or something more exotic! The camera is only a cheap one so it could be playing up and not recognising the small creatures at all 😟

Aww I'm waiting for that monkey picture.  We have a lot of wild parakeets flying round here. Story goes they were released or escaped from the set of Queen of Africa with Elizabeth Burton back in the 50's/60's so they are well established but many view them as parasites as they kill off natural wildlife.  I quite like seeing them although the trees at the back of my garden are full of rowdy crows.

We’ve got parakeets in our exotic part of Kent too. Lots of people don’t like them, but they’re rather colourful

i would love parakeets! I don’t think the wildlife camera is working….or the monkey is really clever! All the food had gone and the camera was empty! 

Further along (and say this with your best Scottish accent) there’s been a murrderr .. lots of little white under feathers, a few bones and a single (medium sized) bird foot 😖

which reminds me, has anyone been watching Murder Island on CH4?  A novel idea but not 100% sure about it. The storyline and dramatisation written by Ian Rankin so bound to be some good twist in it somewhere.

I hope it wasn't the monkey that committed the murder, but whatever it was must be very clever to disable the spy camera so it wasn't seen!
