 I had trouble getting off to sleep, I think the nerves in operated leg were having a growth spurt and were tingling away, so I just got up again, had a coffee and a browse on here and went back to bed. I drink so much coffee it doesn't affect my sleep.

consultant  for six week check up and physio today.

will be refining meal plan and doing shopping list later (MSE bit)

I've been paid but I haven't done the money shuffle yet... I'm working up to it. I think quite a few of us had a very relaxed August. We haven't had a holiday for a long time, the HT passed his exams and it just felt right to have a bit of fun and some edible treats. It's all done now so Sensible September starts tomorrow. Stay strong @WinterWarrior, we can do this.

It's also tempting to look back at this stage of life but don't. There's no joy in that - we've all made some stunningly bad decisions (well most of us on this board anyhow, it's why we're here). Look forward, it's way more fun. Sit down and write a bucket list of things that you still want to do and start figuring out how to achieve them. It can be as simple as "drive to meet Cranky when she visits the Black Isle" which will be goodness knows when (never met a bad person from the internet yet) to "have an amazingly complicated to get to holiday in our own private villa built on stilts in the sea where the roof opens above the bed so that you can look at the stars" (have you seen the cost of those things? Gulp!).

My list has things on like "ebay the contents of the spare room". Our spare room was a thing if beauty for about a week after I redid it but now it's full because the HT tidied his bedroom into it. I'm going to ebay all of his dungeons and dragons stuff and maybe even some of his rare pokemon cards if he doesn't move fast enough to stop me.

off to look up Black Isle now, as Scotland on the holiday list next year.  Are you north of the border WW?  Desperately hoping we can visit son and family in Oz next year too.

I’m right up at the top Carolbee, closer to Norway than to London apparently! 

I think I’d feel unsafe without a roof Cranky 😁 I’m not hugely into exotic holidays and haven’t been for a long time. When I went with XH to a couple of exotic places I was mostly wishing myself at home, although that was because of the company 🤣 Lots of photos of younger me reading a book in different places 🤣
I would really love to see the northern lights/Iceland/Santa/snow that doesn’t involve skiing. I have seen the northern lights from my garden, but obv they aren’t as bright here.
I feel your pain about the spare bedroom..I had one, but it got turned into MrWW’s office and now everything from in there is squished everywhere and my once lovely dining room is a dumping ground. there are probably many things I could eBay too 🤔 
Today I upped my PB’s to £1500 🙃….praying for a win!

Good morning and happy Wednesday 🌸
Horrid morning here with MrWW waking me at 4.30 because dog was struggling to stand. She had a wee in the hall and plonked down wagging and drooling. Possibly a doggy stroke. She’s too big to lift so we had to call the emergency vet for a home visit, goodness knows how much that will cost 😞 By the time he got here she’d been sick a few times, but was able to stand a bit. He’s given her pain relief and we’ve to see how she goes. Possibly an X-ray or mri if she doesn’t improve on her own…and of course MrWW had just swapped her insurance as it had gone up so much…and the new one has a no claims in the first 14 days rule. I see bankruptcy in my future….I do hope she’s ok, she’s nearly 11 now and the love of my life 😢

Oh my goodness, so sorry to hear this. Our lab had a stroke at a similar age and recovered completely. Hoping for the very best for your love of your life xx
