I love both kindle and books. Kindle is fantastic for holidays and commuting but I do use the library and pick up books in cs too. I love the Terry Pratchett Discworld series. I've been trying to get my 13yo niece to read them but think I have scared her off with my enthusiasm 🤣Credit Cards NOV 2019 £33,220.42 Sept 2023 £19,951.00 Tilly Tidy 20223/COLOR] Sept £43.71 Here's my diary: A Ditherer's Diary Again2

@naomim can you tempt her with the Tiffany Aching /wee free men books? They are still great, but a little simpler. I know when I first start reading Terry P I missed half the jokes, possibly I still do 😁
Well the sundae was just as wonderful as I remembered. I am indeed one of those who takes photos of my food, give me a sec to retrieve it from my phone 🤣Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

A Monday Sundae - how lovely.
Wishing you well with your September spending challenge - that sundae should fortify for you (for a little while anyway)3 -
I was thinking of the witches series first for the STP books. I really must re-read them all. My dad got me into them when I was 16 and they are the only books I have ever known my brother to read!
That sundae looks spectacular by the way and I am not at all jealous!Credit Cards NOV 2019 £33,220.42 Sept 2023 £19,951.00 Tilly Tidy 20223/COLOR] Sept £43.71 Here's my diary: A Ditherer's Diary Again2 -

Ok, just to prove how bad I am, I have gone over my budget and accounting for some august overspending I forgot about, I need to adjust the weekly spend to £36 🤦🏻♀️ This way I pay everything I borrowed and still meet the planned saving target (just).
I do plan a spend of £7.35 tomorrow, so I have taken that from this weeks total. This is for some vanilla sugar free syrup that both MrWW and I will try in our coffee to jazz it up occasionally. It should last a fair while and will maybe be a hit of sweetness that keeps me away from my chocolate drawer. You see, I did tell you my spending challenge would be entertaining and I already fell at the first hurdle 😬Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Good morning and Happy Tuesday ☕️📚🍫🌺
Payday..woohoo…I’ve done most of the money shuffle, just a few tweaks left when I get to my spreadsheets, and am left with the bare bones of dd payments and small weekly spends, it went from good to grim in about 5 minutes, but that’s the price for having a silly August! Now I need to get a grip for September 😖
I have ordered my syrup and it should come tomorrow. I may need the next set of books soon, so that will drop my spends by £10 when it happens, but only 4 days to go until Saturdays reset.
I hardly slept last night, I don’t know why. I was in one of those loops where you are thinking about everything you’ve done wrong for your whole life 🙄
I hope you all have happy Tuesdays filled with all good things and only easy work, not the bad stuff 🌺🍫☕️Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien
