tcsheffield said:Hi, received yet another letter from VCS advising that ELMS Legal are no longer representing them. They are willing to accpet a reduced amount of £175 to avoid court. They will also bring this to the attention of the court on the question of costs.
Is this standard for them ?
Thank you
It appears that VCS have fallen out with Elms.

For some reason they have recently ditched Elms. Perhaps they keep losing and costing them too much money. Perhaps they have had a lover's tiff. Nothing significant.
If you lost in court it would only cost you £175 - £200 at the most if properly defended, so they are offering you nothing really.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks3 -

Thank youPlease read other VCS/Elms threads (regulars read every thread) so, like us, you are best informed and up to date on issues that are likely to pertain to and might impact on your case. You are reading such other threads .... aren't you? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

It is quite usual for them to do this and they are likely to say that they have tried to settle in court. They may also use the fact that a defendant did not engage or appeal so you need to be able to bat that one off.
Please give more details of the parking transgression/s to help the regulars help you.

I don't think he knows, because they are allowed to mention WP offers when it comes to costs and their letter is of no note. Nothing useful or bad.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
