Mate, those pics look so much better than those on RM and Street View.korabiowski said:This is the front of the house from the drive & culdesac

When looking at rightmove or other online sites people will use many different tools to supplement their research. They will look at what is there and make a judgment, they do not know that work is ongoing or that you are still changing things around, doors or windows for example. They see things that don't add up especially in the corner of closely and deliberately cropped images, or rooms that don't have any images, to find inconsistencies and then wonder what else might be being masked or hidden.korabiowski said:
Layout - You've lost me here - See other responseBikingBud said:The floor plan doesn't match the house, why is it drawn differently to the physical layout of the house?
In the corridor bathroom it looks like the window needs finishing and the reflection in the mirror shows the ceiling is not complete. How are you claiming recently upgraded when those items are not finished?
Has the front wall been hit by a vehicle recently, the street view shot appears to show a displaced wall and a large mark, possibly from a car impact?
Do people on the top deck of the bus wave at you when you're in bed?
Window - that's exposed stonework - One person's exposed stonework is another's half finished job
Ceiling - done since the photos - Why take pictures and try to sell in that state? You've since changed and added some outside photos why not change the bathroom as well to show finished ceiling?
Wall damage - not that I know of, that's an old street view - Bang in the middle of the street view that getmore4less added there is a large mark and the wall appears bowed.
Bus - no
Thanks for the comments
Prospective buyers cannot get into your thoughts and have to focus on what you present and sometimes make harsh assessment of what you choose not to present.
Based on roughly 20 images and a few paragraphs I might be enticed to get off the sofa and go and see the house in Fairfield Park, too many bits in your listing, although some are countered on this thread, don't add up and i would have skipped by. Perhaps that's what many others have done and why things have gone stale.
The first line of your listing says: "Boasting the perfect blend between period features and contemporary finishes, is this recently upgraded three/four bedroom detached home....." If that isn't matched by the images then unless the price is very good then many will simply move on.
Why not take it down, do what you want to do and provide a clear and fresh perspective with a good set of images, without the bus, with the wooden fencing all the same colour, with the bathroom ceiling finished, with the new patio doors that are correctly reflected in the floor plan and revised wording that complement the house.
Your life is too short to be unhappy 5 days a week in exchange for 2 days of freedom!1 -
You should get pictures showing this on the listing straight away. They completely alter the perception of the house.korabiowski said:This is the front of the house from the drive & culdesac
Plus, it’s amazing how many people gave feedback on our old house that they were put off by the driveway looking awkward to manoeuvre onto - these pictures show you don’t have that problem.1 -
Those pics give a totally different perspective and much much more positive than the current exterior shots - get onto that straight away:)1

Fair comments thanks, and we are going to review all this if we don't get a bite on the 2 viewings booked.BikingBud said:

Also just to confirm :
The exposed original farmhouse stonework to window is a great feature, the photo doesn't do it justice in fairness.
Yes, in hindsight, we should have waited till ceiling was done. And we didn't think to check the mirrors reflection 😬
I assure you it has been done ha ha.
I've checked out the bowing wall this morning, and the reason is that it follows the old curved farmhouse wall.
I can't comment on the marks though.
Thanks again1 -

It does....thanks for bearing with me, lol!korabiowski said:

Does that mean you're replacing the 'front' door with a window? If so, will the access point into the property be the French doors.....or am I missing another door somewhere?korabiowski said:
Ahh, I see.UnderOffer said:Layout, I was wondering if the floor plan was incorrect or I think I may not have the diagram the correct way up. There are some French doors on floor plan and no indication of front door.
I mentioned this several pages back.
The Lounge door is being replaced by a full height window, and the Dining Room window is being replaced by French Doors (all with Georgian Bars to match rest of house.)
We were holding off doing this due to the house going on the market, however we have decided to go ahead as it would either be how we wanted it (if we remain,) or improve sellability.
This was changed on the floor plans when we reduced the price.
This work is being done in next week or two, regardless of what happens.
Thanks again
Sorry, not meaning to sound stupid, lol - I'm speaking as someone whose last house had six external doors (including a set French doors) plus the 'front' door was actually at the back so I get how complicated layouts can confuse!
As you've stated that the house is actually considerably older than it appears, I agree with the previous poster who mentioned including a pic of the old external wall if it still exists. Being someone who likes their properties to have as much character/period features as possible - and I'm sure I'm not alone there 😉 - this would be a positive for me.....
Hope your viewing(s) go well - please come back and update the thread, we're all pretty invested in knowing how this pans out for you now!
The Kitchen door is the main entrance, this leading onto the gated drive onto Garfield Drive (Culdesac.)
The Lounge door is currently access to the back garden.
Hope that makes sense
Those newly added pics give a much better idea of the property's orientation/how it sits on its plot 😃Mortgage-free for fourteen years!

We originally had it up at £295k, which was the low end of 2 valuations we had.Irishpearce26 said:Can i ask how much you reduced it by? Not sure if you mentioned previously.
Had 4-5 viewings in that time

The drive pictures are great, shows so much more of the house plus the tree looks lovely.1
