Layout, I was wondering if the floor plan was incorrect or I think I may not have the diagram the correct way up. There are some French doors on floor plan and no indication of front door.

    Ahh, I see.

I mentioned this several pages back.

The Lounge door is being replaced by a full height window, and the Dining Room window is being replaced by French Doors (all with Georgian Bars to match rest of house.)

We were holding off doing this due to the house going on the market, however we have decided to go ahead as it would either be how we wanted it (if we remain,) or improve sellability.

This was changed on the floor plans when we reduced the price.

This work is being done in next week or two, regardless of what happens.

    Thanks again

one issue with not having pictures of the outside from the road side  is people will use street view.

I think you need one from the gated access showing that aspect and the parking.

maybe one from the road showing the trees because if they have not had work street view showed them like this back in summer 2016

    https://www.google.com/maps/@54.0659173,-2.8292604,3a,75y,178.43h,96.78t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1sdFtMNRIjRrURgZJEd5X0Yw!2e0!5s20160701T000000!7i13312!8i6656

2019 show some topping off but not much.

Good luck with the viewings  there does seem to be a shortage of buyers at that price point for anywhere in town.

Does that mean you're replacing the 'front' door with a window? If so, will the access point into the property be the French doors.....or am I missing another door somewhere?

Sorry, not meaning to sound stupid, lol - I'm speaking as someone whose last house had six external doors (including a set French doors) plus the 'front' door was actually at the back so I get how complicated layouts can confuse!

As you've stated that the house is actually considerably older than it appears, I agree with the previous poster who mentioned including a pic of the old external wall if it still exists. Being someone who likes their properties to have as much character/period features as possible - and I'm sure I'm not alone there 😉 - this would be a positive for me.....

Hope your viewing(s) go well - please come back and update the thread, we're all pretty invested in knowing how this pans out for you now!

I remembered in my first search there was this one at your price point..

    https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/84996784#/

A lot of house for the money and decent sized plot, might have too much kitchen.

been extended twice since new so had a look.

This is where area knowledge comes in.

Fairfield area is pinned in with council estate one side, and industrial estate the other.

No nearby shops, pubs etc. Within walking distance anyways.
And the main dual carriageway is a stones throw away.

It is a nice house though agreed 👍

Ha ha, sorry, it is a bit unclear.

The Kitchen door is the main entrance, this leading onto the gated drive onto Garfield Drive (Culdesac.)

The Lounge door is currently access to the back garden.

    Hope that makes sense
  • This is the front of the house from the drive & culdesac
