Completely correct - the call handler does not process the return and can only relay what is showing on the screen - quite a few are not understanding this. Furthermore the person who does process the return has NO responsibility for the issuing of any repayment, for obvious reasons. 

Hence my other statement they are clueless as to what's going on and only telling me what's in front of them that's why I have waited 5 weeks to even ask where I'm at

I understand what everyone is saying and if this is the case why am I being told different dates every time I contact then it doesn’t make sense didn’t qualify for any grants and being made to wait this long but if I owed them money it would be different story

Same as me couldn’t get no grants and been waiting 6 weeks today and a man told me 2 weeks ago I’d have my payment by the 25th today

Same was told 23rd May right up until yesterday when he apparently checked with the dept dealing and they said now don’t be until July. The delay is nothing to do with the security checks as they don’t take that long for them to do it’s the queue and not having enough staff to deal with them. He asked me for password yesterday and said they will call me but won’t be until nearer July. I done mine in 6th about 6.30pm so I assume it just depends where u are in this queue.

Because each time you phone the  advice of what to say   has changed to a new date.
Nobody can tell you exactly  when it will be issued until it is issued.
Today's advice will be correct for some who phone but not correct for others but if they give you a  date you will go off the phone. Then they can go through it all again with  the next caller.

Been on the phone again now they have said as the cut off date has passed 24th they have sent a message to the team that will either issue the payment or send a letter requesting more information ??? I’m starting to think I will never get this money 😡

Its so infuriating its unreal, I. Appreciate its the world were currently live in BUT if I gave a customer a time frame of 6 weeks to meet a deadline then didn't I would either lose the work or be hit with a late penalty.

A bit like not filing your return on time!!!

They really should be given access to bigger files on the individuals who are being checked, at least that way it should help ease people's nerves and anxiety
