Thanks for the kind words. Rang the doctors and got a phone consultation with a locum GP, who was lovely, listened to everything I said and has increased my medication, referred me for some more tests, and send me some guidance about diet, just in case.
I do feel reassured, but there is nothing to say that when I am tested again in 3 months another doctor will want to reduce my medication again. We will see, I just want to feel normal and I am going to fight my corner on this now.
Paid stuff done, washing dried outside, curry out of the freezer for tea, kitchen tidied, feet up now.11 -
YL Hope you feel better soon x
Spent yesterday morning at DG’s. Cleaned her fridge and emptied the porch. Just one cupboard left to sort in her kitchen now. Living room has sideboard and tv cabinet left to do. Box room is half done, master bedroom is currently a sorting room. Bathroom is done. Other bedroom - I have done clothes and removed a chest of drawers but I have 20 bin bags for charity waiting to go in there. Shed has been sorted but there are items to sell/gift in there. Garage oh dear. Not started ! it is chocker and there is evidence of cardboard chewing go on. I need to get some quotes to see how much improvement work will cost. Last estate agent said it would be around £30K.Today
I plan to do a whole how emergency tidy and clean. Not sure why I’m just sitting scrolling the internet. Best get on8 -

Hi all
Thanks Dancemum x
I should have finished work at lunchtime but its cold and showery, and I have loads of work to do, so thought I would keep going and take an afternoon off another day. Washing mostly dried outside, could do to run the hoover around downstairs but it can wait until tomorrow. Have lit the fire, need to go and wrestle some more coal out of the bottom of the coal bunker.
DH said he is happy with some breaded fish fillets and oven chips for tea, we are a bit short of supplies but I am not in the mood for food shopping now. DS said he might call tonight.
Sad to hear the news about Prince Philip, shame he didnt make it to his big birthday.
I might just get the hoover out now, I have a feeling I might snooze if I get too comfy on the sofa.8 -
My apologies, YL - having nagged you the other day, I had meant to say earlier how pleased i was that you had managed to get a telephone consultation with your GP, but it went clean out of my head! (Does that count as flying????!!!!)
I have made
Twinks
2x coffee sponges
2x fruit loaves
rocky road
And yes, I licked the spoons9 -
Hello,
Can I sneak back in please? We are back from a fortnight in hospital. DD has undergone “life changing” surgery to remove the cancerous cells. The next step is a discussion on more chemo. For now, we are just trying to get through the days and the nights, as she is unable to weight bear on one side so is dependent on me to help her move.
I can’t promise to keep up with any flying, as I’m struggling to get more than 10 uninterrupted minutes at a time. Work have been fantastic, and I am doing whatever I can, when I can, from home, but a backlog is building.
But, 2 very special flyladies have been offering their support over the past couple of weeks, so I don’t know what I would do without you all xx
Lots of hugs to you all, especially YL and dancemum, and to Ionafan and Round. If you don’t mind, I’ll keep hold of my spoons for the moment.
PS, in the name of flying, I have actually managed HHI this evening, 3rd attempt to get the ironing board out.10
