Quotes sorted for the car insurance. Look to be saving £30 on initial renewal quote plus it includes breakdown so I won't renew separate breakdown which saves another £60, and we get £20 voucher. All in all will only cost about £60 for insurance if that makes sense. Also garage said once repairs are done to get the car through MOT it might not need a full service as it hasn't really been anywhere, so will hopefully come in under the £300 quoted. It's a shame the tax is so much!
Best crack on, might even get dressed and get some flying done.Spend less now, work less later.10 -
Jazee that sounds like a good saving go for it.Sunny but very cold here, was going to take OH to local hospital for a minor op, but they rang this morning to say the cv test he had the other day 'leaked' and it was all cancelled, he has to go for another cv test tomorrow. My cucumber seeds have started to grow and appear, these and the toms are in the conservatory, as the greenhouse was sold prior to the move last year.Little deer in garden last night at dusk seems to have a damaged its front leg or similar, it doesn't seem to stop it from jumping over the fence, not really too sure what to do, as it is wild, and never arrives at the same time each day. I have no intentions of 'trapping' it, equally I don't want teams of vets / animal helps in my garden until it does appear.I've hoovered roundSorted out freezer and cleaned it as wellMight have a trip to the beach, as I have decided to take up rock painting with acrylic paints, then hide them around the local area when I go on walks for others to find. I need some stones etc.Might hoover out the carBreast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

I have a grandboy for the day again.. they are all MUCH quieter today, after yesterdays drama I am very glad. I slept really badly and was coming to join the WAC about 2 hours after I went to bed but I finally got to sleep but it was not very restful and the grandboy arrived just after 9. He has an afterschool childminder but she doesn't work during school holidays.. she isn't very busy, wonder why..
I have got the WM running, Boog fed the fluffers and OH is making a cuppa.
I would like to get 10 more ebeast things listed.. those who have a number *thing* with understand.. I have 90 items listed...
I wish I could get the pics off my phones though so I can sort them and delete all the sold stuff and build a decent inventory like I used to have.
OH is back to work from 12th May so.. before then he can rope in the lazy upstairs hairless apes to come and help empty the shed so we can sort through it and reshuffle and restack so it is a usable space not just a skip. I might just pile stuff out the front on a 'free to take' .. and the car needs cleaning out, it is a disgusting mess in there. He can wash out Henry too.. Thats's 6 monthsworth of nags for him haha. I need him to go to the shop too.. parcels to post and fruit to buy.
I am going to run school coats through the wash today too so they are clean for Tuesday.. I can't see it being any warmer next week. I was going to dig out gingham dresses but it is way too cold.
Email check and my cuppa then I will see what I can make a start on flinging. ooh.. I wil adjust my Tesc0 order first so I don't forget.

Hi all
Feel like death but have dragged myself through a day at the paid stuff.
Rang the doctor and receptionist said first appointment is 16th April, so I would be better off ringing them in the morning and saying its urgent.
Our duvet changed, tea towels dried outside, upstairs hoovered. Fishcakes for tea, no idea what time DH is home. I just want to sleep.12 -

Sorted out 2 birthday cards, 1 anniversary card and a 'paper hug' card (for my Mum), signed and addressed for Mr N to post when he collects his prescription.
1st time back to uni since December. Had forgotten how much faffing all the sanitising, wiping, putting up screen etc is. Still, she was a lovely student but I don't know who was the most tired after the assessment. Had moved yesterday's Mr T c&c as it is so much cheaper at Mr Al which I pass on the way home from uni. Dropped in and hardly anyone there, so that's a few things stocked up. Also dropped in to C00p as this week's offer was discount off gf bread. Must admit while I was in there I treated myself to my first C0sta for months.
Got home, dumped shopping in the kitchen for Mr N to sort out while I finished the last of my course, with 20 mins to spare.
Checked conservatory, watered seedlings which seem to have survived the temperatures. Broken ice on the pond - we have 2 frequent visitors, a pair of mallards.
Ready meal and Harry P followed by half an Easter egg; need to get a grip on heading towards slinkiness.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.8 -

There were a few in shorts before they broke up.. the parents are doolally-tap.. miine are if anything over dressed all the time.. they can take things ff if they are too warm but to sit freezing all day must be horrendous for them, no way they could possibly learn anything. I am always freezing and I can barely think straight some days. I have been known to cry because I am so cold, it is exhausting.

Crikey Nmm, you did more in a day than I manage most weeks! *admiration*Ionafan, I can't diet my adoptees who've had a hard time until I know they're completely over all of their traumas, which is basically never. I had to be very hard on Kelpie when he first damaged his cruciate ligaments, so I made sure all the food he had was fun - a frozen beef rib first thing, a frozen turkey mince-stuffed Kong, kibble in a kick ball etc, so he didn't wolf it all in one hit. He was completely food-obsessed which didn't help. Layla on the other hand has never been particularly keen on her excellent dog food, so I use that to limit how much food she gets quite savagely and only top it up if she's really hungry. I give her a treat at every meal time next to the food bowl and she's often very happy to eat the treat and leave the food completely. When we first had her when she was just skin and bone and terrified I had to put the treat on her food to get her to eat anything at all but while she was on steroids she put 5kgs on, and she needs to lose all of them. Three down over the past four months, three to go - she was at the absolute top of her guide weight and was advised she might benefit from losing a bit just before she was diagnosed. Anyway, we're on the right track and I'm thrilled with her. Pats === and strokes ~~~ to Rosie.*Healing vibes* for whatever ails you, YL. I hope you get to see someone very quickly. Does your surgery offer online or telephone consultations? Ours has for a few years - we're desperately short of GPs in Plymouth and have been for years so they've all had to find more effective ways of working, and I find doing it that way much better and it means that instead of a wait to see someone we're often diagnosed and a prescription emailed over to our nominated pharmacy within a couple of hours.Today I am going to get to grips with a gazillion pots of plants. I've got them scattered all over the place - in the plastic greenhouse, in the yard, on the sundeck, on the front steps, on the front path, dangling over the railings, in the alley behind the house and in the lightwells of the house opposite. A builder's working on that house and he had to hoick half of them out yesterday. He's due to return today or tomorrow and he said he'd put them back in for me so I want to get them in good order first so I don't have to clamber down there myself for a few weeks. Water, weed, repot where necesasry, feed, mulch and there's rather a lot of all of that needed. I also want to move the rhubarbs over there because they won't need much care over the next few months.Supper prepped, DW run and kitchen sorted - now ready to roll.
Better is good enough.8 -
Washing out on the line.. it appears my old washer has just about stopped spinning. I was going to put the bits in the dryer but they are just way too wet so out they went. I will maybe have to see how we manage with one machine for a while because I cannot afford a replacement. One is a luxury many don't have so I am in no way complaining, I've just had 2 for over 20 years it will be a big adjustment and I'm not sure how long one alone will survive.. though, I hate the new one so hopefully not very long lol.Girls gathered a mountain of laundry from their room and filled a bag of rubbish. I have sorted some Next returns and filled a binbag of rubbish and am stacking christmas/birthday stuff in a box to shift out of my room. I am also hoping to get in a couple of ebeast boxes and get them listed.
OH has a shelf unit to rebuild for the shed, a mountain of tools and decorating stuff and paint to move to the shed and I want a general tidying done of the garden it is a pit. The pavers can be pressure washed too when he has done those.. The smalls can get outside and help him.
Very quiet here this morning.. I hope everyone is ok xxLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)8
