Asda mobile problems

I've also now taken the plunge and booked my switch to start tomorrow, so it should all happen on Friday!! I know what to expect now, so hopefully no nasty surprises. How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)0

I've just ported my other number over to Asda.
Everything ran very smoothly. Could receive calls more or less immediately after the switch, but couldn't make outgoing calls or send texts for a couple of hours.1 -
Mines just completed. Full service immediately on installing the new SIM. It'd only been an hour or so since I noticed I'd lost service on the old one. How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)0

I changed to Asda only in January this year, as I was fed up with Vodafone's poor signal and response to questions. With Asda EE I could get texts and calls indoors for the first time. When I fitted the new SIM this week, I got no signal at all for two days -spent a couple of hours with them via the online chat and was horrified to find they've moved to Vodafone without telling me! So I now have no signal again and they refuse to refund my credit balance. I lost quite a bit when i left vodafone as they wouldn't refund the credit either. Is this legal? If I moved my gas or eelctriclty or anything else I can think of, they have to refund any overpayment made at the time of moving, but seemingly not with PAYG phones.

I have an ASDA mobile on the EE network and requested a migration pack to transfer it to Vodaphone. I followed the guidance and texted the number to Vodaphone. After waiting a number of days I was told that the phone was locked to EE, this is despite having received confirmation that it wasn't. I was on the telephone for 5 hours chasing up the transfer, with very little help. They did say that they would send a verification code to the mobile, I did say that the only information on the screen was that a restriction code was needed, no messages could be read. The response from them was to read the verification code to them. Twice managers phoned back assuring me that the transfer would be completed and that I should call back on 3.6.2021. I did this and was met with the same blocking response that someone would call back in 24 to 48 hours. Spoke to ASDA EE and they didn't want to know. Do they want any customers.0

I was with ASDA Mobile PAYG who decided to switch providers from EE to Vodaphone. In the process, they made it impossible for me to receive calls or texts from EE mobiles or from our BT landline, on my unlocked phone.Fed up with ASDA, I signed up with Talkmobile and their first sim (different number) worked fine. When I ported my original number to Talkmobile, the same problems re-appeared!It appears that my mobile number is blocked by all EE mobiles and all landlines.I've now spent many, many hours speaking/chatting to ASDA Mobile, Talkmobile and BT but no-one is able to sort it out.My only option now appears to change my number that I've had for over 20 years, to a new one. Thanks ASDA. Won't be dealing with you again! But do they care?

@RegularGuy I think the term for this is a split port - had it before with my dad when 1 network thinks you are on one sim, while others think you are on another. Very stressful, but it is resolvable. Probably unfortunate that you have ported again (Asda have no incentive to help).
Where Vodafone are involved on 2 out of the 3 sides (new Asda provider & owner of TM) try emailing their CEO (in case you have never done so, you don't get a response from the CEO, but you do talk to executive complaints, who generally can get things done)!Certain OTT members have caused me to add this disclaimer: all advice given is free of charge & as such should be taken to be IIRC (as I don't spend hours researching all answers  )!0
