I must be last in the queue because I've heard nothing officially from Asda about any swap over networks, possibly a good thing with the problems some are having

No rush though, have until September before your sim will die.Better off waiting a few months before you swap, maybe they will have fixed everything by then, but they are giving everyone a free bundle and i got a text saying i would get an extra free £10 credit as well because of the problems.Still frustrating though, trying to sort things out0

However my Asda mobile account through their website had totally disappeared, with my mobile number not being recognised, so I have had to re-register.
All appears to be working ok now.0 -

All appears to be working ok now.Yes I had re-register as well and there is no sign of extra £10 on my account either, I still have text they sent me with the offer though. My calls and texts are OK but I have no 4G or data. If I dial out though it activates 4G and then my internet starts working, impressively fast as well around 30 Mbps. If only it would keep working!
It is starting to get annoying now with over 3 days of disruption.Edit - all started working about 15 mins ago, lets hope that's it!Edit £10 credit appeared on my account today

ordered an asda sim which arrived last night.
£7 a month 3GB data, unlimited calls and texts. can only get incoming calls. spent over an hour in phone queue and they said ring vodafone. they say nothing to do with them even though its a vodafone sim.

I have reported the problem to Asda that my phone will not work with the new network and it appears that I will have to purchase a new phone to carry on using my current PAYG contract.
Also, “PAYG contract” is an oxymoron, either you’re on PAYG or you’re on contract. If you were on contract and the supplier changed network you would likely be offered a penalty free termination, being on PAYG and not being tied into a contract means you’re free to move to another supplier anytime you want.
All mobile connections are contracts - so PAYG contract is factually correct.

Details on the Asda mobile website.I am going through the migration process myself, nightmare all around started Monday and still not done but just got a message saying Asda giving me an extra £10 credit for my inconvenience.1

For the vanishing online account problem, if you can remember your user ID instead of your number it should let you login. Mine refused my number but was OK with my ID which luckily I had a note of.0

We've just had our new SIMs come after requesting them via our on-line ASDA mobile accounts.
We won't be asking them to be activated just yet, as we're going away, and will then have month end banking that needs OTP codes and I can't afford to be without my phone, if the switch goes wrong for any reason.
I'll come back and report how our switches go.
How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)0 -
Didn't they have similar issues a few years back when they moved over to Vodafone from O2?No free lunch, and no free laptop0
