Please add me, despite my dodgy scales! I'm not setting a very high target - 8lbs - because I know that I tend to overdo things for a bit and then get fed up and then give up big time, so a smaller goal and a less stringent regime might be a better way to go. I have, over the last few weeks, cut back on snacks, and eaten smaller portions at each meal, and appear to have lost about 3 lbs doing that, so I shall continue with this and see if it continues to work. I will try and do some sort of weigh in, but I think I might have to have a bit of a '7 day rolling average' type approach and even with my scales I hope that will give a rough idea of how I am doing! But I confess that this weekend I'm not worrying too much - it is a bank holiday after all!6

I’ve weighed today, it wasn’t as bad as I thought thank goodness. I’m still down 6lbs from the start of the year. My weigh in day will be Thursday so my first weigh in will be next Thursday. Wishing you all success this quarter x7

Mainly chocolate for me today.
Which is interesting as the late/post teenagers have been too rude to receive their chocolate from me yet...6 -

I have often wondered - usually around both Christmas and Easter -if I have a certain amount of goodies (chocolate usually, especially at this time of year) is it better to have a little each day until it is used up, or to eat it all up in one or two goes? I am going for the little at a time approach, based on the idea that giving myself a little treat each day might mean I keep on the straight and narrow for the rest of the day - but there is the problem of said treats being available for much longer!

Hi Everyone!
Welcome newlywed 😀 it’s lovely to see another Harcombe diet follower!2childmum2 if it’s any help, I’ve found that scoffing the whole lot as a meal works best, then the wretched chocs aren’t sitting on the side leering at me (or in the cupboard - they’re not proud!). Yes, last Saturday’s lunch was a whole chocolate rabbit, total calories about 1000. It made it very easy to have a salad for dinner. And now I really don’t want to see chocolate for quite a while.I’m in Feasting Mode at present, using up stuff I shouldn’t be eating, so although my weigh in on Sunday was STS as against the previous Sunday, Being Good does not operate until next week. Just in the interests of exorcising the Bun Demon and the Marmalade Demon. 😱😀
Wishing you all a good week.“Tomorrow is another day for decluttering.”Decluttering 2023 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️

@Blue_Doggy I’m the same with chocolate, if it’s there I’ll always want it! I’d rather eat it all then feel sick in the hope that I put myself off 🤣
Not been a good weekend for me and my scales are out of battery! must go to shops tomorrow and buy more or I’ll just spiral out of control again!x6 -

Re chocolate consumption - bit-by-bit or all-at-once - I used to eat a whole bar at a time, feeling guilty but thinking I then couldn't do anything about it and it was better to get it over and done with. My husband used to break up a bar of dark chocolate into individual squares and keep it in the fridge to have a piece a day because I told him chocolate was medicine. I did buy a larger Easter egg for myself this year but I haven't started on it yet - the chocolate today and Sunday was given to me and had been sitting in full view for well over a week. So I seem to have broken the binge behaviour. If I start a 100g bar, I'll have maybe 20g in a day.5
