I made an interesting observation yesterday - I don't usually eat breakfast but have a cup of soya milk coffee first thing, and find that I'm not really hungry then until lunch. However, yesterday we went to Ikea as soon as it opened and had breakfast there (about 10am)- I planned less food for the rest of the day to make up for it and only had a small breakfast, so I was feeling quite pleased with myself that I had planned this in so well. But, I was starving for the rest of the day! So I ate my smaller lunch but then needed a snack and a big dinner and then another snack - so ended up eating miles more than I wanted. There must be some psychology going on here - or is there a metabolism type thing i don't know about??!!

Hi all. Thanks for your encouragement. I did the walk with two fo my friends. Got a bit damp but not too bad.😊
Since then I have been away and of course that means eating carbs. Will try to get a weigh in tomorrow.

Brambling - The mechanical scales flickered around the same mark as last week but I don't want to claim anything better than a STS at this week's WI. Thanks.

Weighing in with loss of -1.5lb this week, had a very bad day at work so ordered a Chinese 🙄 I'm such an emotional eater, I know this but can't seem to fix it. Just going to be good the rest of the week and hope for a sts next week. Only plus is that I'm pretty much back to being on my feet all day at work so am hitting my 10k most days.

Good morning everyone, I can't sleep due to the noise of the wind outside so I thought I might as well get up. I forgot to do my weight loss this week, it was 4lb off so I am thrilled with that.
I have been having terrible panic attacks about the caravan holiday booked for next year. In the end I decided to cancel it BUT I rebooked for Butlins instead. I told the grandchildren yesterday and they were so excited. I know there's a long time to go but I need all the time I can get to get sorted with my weight and activity levels. I am still very much struggling to leave the house and this awful weather hasn't helped but I just picture my grandson's face as he is desperate for me to be able to do activities with him.
I have rediscovered my cooking mojo and have enjoyed trying new recipes this week. I also had a mad craving for fruit cake so I baked one yesterday and just had a small piece. My husband said it was the best cake he had ever eaten so that was high praise indeed 😍. The good thing in this house is that any baked goods tend not to hang around too long as I have 4 adults with good appetites living here.
Today I am going to make a chicken curry but I am going to see how much veg I can get in there as well. I will have mine with cauliflower rice as I really like it and there is a huge calorie saving compared to ordinary rice. I buy the Slimming World magazine each month just for the recipes and there are some really nice ones to try this month. Even my husband was enthusiastic about quite a few different ones.
Ok, I am off to make a cup of fruit tea and then see if I can get back to sleep. Well done everyone for all your achievements and thank you for posting, take care x
