Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin8 -
Busy work weekend for me I worked 8am - 10pm yesterday without a break other than grabbing a few minutes to make a sandwich, a drink or to find snacks, so i hate to think what the scales will say this week. Today i'll work until 8pm so food will be a bit hit and miss as well. I do have LO roast chicken in the fridge but by 8pm it will be something quick maybe chicken, veg and noodles. So i have read your posts and hopefully picked up all your WI (well done everyone
)
Bit_by_bit I hope you have recovered from your midnight wall and didn't get too wet or sore.
Have a good week all, it's hard to believe we are half way through May and the challengeLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin8 -
Well I'm back exactly where I started in April - so 2lb loss for me. If I didn't chart my weigh in's I would be so confused by now. So I'm excited to keep weight off and delighted to get back to swimming this week. Pool tonight and lake on Sunday. I didn't run last night but I did manage to haul myself off the couch for an evening dog walk before going to bed at 9pm!Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%
Emergency fund: 100/1000 10%

Afternoon All,
Little Voice - Well done for the loss and best of luck with sticking with the good Cs
Brambling - That would be a ridiculously harsh day during the week but at the weekend!! It would take a lot of coffee and chocolate to get me through that.
ditty Well done for the loss and for keep getting back on the horse.
sirens Well done for the loss and I hope your daughter's feeling better now.
short_bird Well done for the loss.
bit_by_bit I hope the walk went well and that you had a good time with family.
honey As much as you're disappointed, well done for the STS and I hope the being good catches up for an extra loss next week
Blue Doggy Well done for the loss. I've often made the mistake of going shopping when I'm hungry, it never ends well!
lantanna Well done for the loss.
2childmum2 - well done for the loss and the 1 stone milestone. I can relate to craving vegetables at uni, I used to offer to cook dinners as it was easier to have veg if there were a few of us buying/eating it.
Gingerlily Commiserations for the gain and best of luck for next week
candiii Well done for the impressive loss and best of luck for smashing the stone next week
victoriajj Although they can be disappointing, well done for the STSs. As many of the very wise ladies here have pointed out in the past, sometimes you need to take the pounds not gained as a win.
I did manage to weigh myself yesterday but work was crazy busy so ran out of time to post. It's a 0.5lb loss this week. Although it's not much I'm quite pleased as it took a lot of effort to pull it together and not end up with another massive gain. I love the fact that it's becoming a little bit easier to see people now but it does seem that most of my social life revolves around eating and drinking, the next couple of weeks are going to be interesting!!
Best of luck and stay safe everyone xx8 -
This week (not looking good so far):

Sunday 1777 cals 9 veg/fruit (2 chocolates = 110 cal)
Monday 1891 cals 5 veg/fruit (no cake etc)
Tuesday 1855 cals 5 veg/fruit (2 chocolates)*
average 1863 cals
* but, going into (what joy!) a rather nice cafe today,
I did resist having any cake with my cappuccino4 -
Hi All,
A STS for me this week, bit annoyed by that as the maths says I should still have lost something as over the whole week I was under my allowance, just over (a lot) on one day. I won't let it derail me - although I clearly have as I have definitely been picking at things when cooking. It doesn't matter if I have carefully weighed out the cheese to go in a meal to be the exact right calories if the next thing I do is chop a slice of for me to eat while I calculate the rest of the calories does it?? So STOP IT. Maybe writing that down for all to see will help.
Right, back to work I guess, well done to everyone, no matter the result - have a good week all.

@LilacPotato it is definitely the food that never makes it onto the plate that is the problem in many cases.
As I am eating dinner really late at the moment 8/8.30 I try to not eat breakfast till about 10/11sies. but I am finding it hard! I am so hungry when I wake up. But I'm on my horse this week. Step by step, hopefully not the horse on the merry go around.
Remember to develop your non food treats. I took 5 min to just wander around the garden this morning and sniff everything - mostly enjoyable.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

so not expecting downward trend at next WI
but taking comfort in BMI measurement instead.7
