Thanks @Hettyhound @Humdinger1 @beanielou @South_coast @carboot_karaoke
I’m trying to appreciate the low balance but I’m also getting impatient again too. I’ve itchy fingers to cut more off. I think it must just be my mood though so I’ve tried to channel the energy into getting other things off the list and into the diary:
3 blood tests, 1 shingles vaccine, 1 GP and 1 hospital appointment, 2 days of Easter activities for DS9 to avoid more fighting with DD4.
In MSE news though, payday is Friday, small amount left and minimal expenses expected (though probably jinxed it now!)
I’m up to £638 already this year from surveys and couple of Vinted items. Long may it continue. I have it in a separate account to hopefully pay for the bigger bills like MOT and insurances when they inevitably come.
Hopefully it’ll be a restful day ahead for all.MFW diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6254913/never-a-good-time-but-here-goes#latest

I ended up sending another £200 towards the mortgage. I’ve seen the direct debit seems to have more than halved though so I’ll have to adjust things there. Never happened before but I can’t be bothered calling them to change.
Up to £765 in the bonus money account. I’ve booked the car back in the garage next week though so preparing to brace.
Other things of note:
DD4 smacked her face last week so, front teeth thankfully intact, a post-hospital trip to Sains for toys was required. Conveniently 2 for £15 though!
I started immunosuppressants and now seem to be waking at 4am each day. Handy enough for the early morning Grand Prix, less so for day to day functioning. Ah well.MFW diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6254913/never-a-good-time-but-here-goes#latest

I’m struggling to remember what’s happened since my last post. I suppose that’s the Easter holidays for you! I’ve had the second week off and back to work tomorrow. I can’t say I’m refreshed but I’ve spent some nice time with the kids and that’s the main thing.
All surveys stopped during that time so I need to restart tomorrow. I have my second shingles vaccine tomorrow too to look forward to, alongside tonight’s immunosuppressant 🥳
I took my car to the garage and it appears my ‘top up coolant’ problem could be related to the head gasket. Slight glimmer of hope that it’s a cheaper problem with my model of car so I’m sadly hoping for the £500 option. I’ve got £811 in my bonus money account so fingers crossed I can cover it from that. it’s booked in for 22nd and in the meantime my mum has offered up her car for use. Cynical me realises she’s keen as it means she’ll forgo a few weeks of the twice weekly afternoon school runs she helps with 🙄
Aside from chocolate binge, there’s also been a Vinted binge, Amazon shop and some new music bought (for my husband who never buys anything for himself).
Speaking of, he’s just declared he’s making a roast today. (Quorn - I’m all about the roasties!)

Back to work today and a couple of small wins to report:
£22.99 PA cash out
£7 in Vinted sales - listed, bought and posted all this afternoon. (I somehow bought 16 Disney DVDs for £6.66 last night. I hate Disney!)
£2 M&S gift card through O2 priority. Yes I spent more than that but the win was the reduced price choc hippos and GF coffee and walnut cake.
Looking forward to bedtime - medication and vaccine side effects today and I’ve been awake since 3am.
Hope everyone else had a decent day.MFW diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6254913/never-a-good-time-but-here-goes#latest

Morning all! With pay day next week, funds were starting to look a little low. I paid for garage bill from the PA money, so that’s a relief. £486 I didn’t have to pay from wages or move from savings.
The MOT is next month so I’ll keep the rest for that but I’m hoping to start saving more towards the mortgage offset total.
As ever, I need to start listing more on Vinted. I sold 3 DVDs for £9 but that was to make space for the 16 Disney ones.
I might also have spent too much on sweet treats and junk but I believe hormones are to blame for that. 🥳MFW diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6254913/never-a-good-time-but-here-goes#latest

5K barrier broken! The mortgage is down to £4771 so inching closer.
I contacted TSB to amend my direct debit back to what it had been originally too.May might bring some financial obstacles - MOT, car tax, half term, DD birthday planning. Fingers crossed PA keeps providing the offset 😁
