Haha love it, thanks Coupon Mad. You guys really are taking on the bad guys single handed and deserve a medal.
If they know this already though, does that not make their claim against me vexatious as well?...

High bar. If you've deep pockets, you could try to prove it. 😊
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I think I will make the point but yeh, actually proving might be a stretch! Thanks for the feedback (guys and gals)...
I've gone back to them so will see what happens. Out of interest, do you have the details of that case/ruling by HHJ Simkiss? I believe they will argue that since I LEFT the carpark (ignoring the fact I never saw the signs) that the grace period is irrelevant.

So here's an interesting development, I'd be interested in your thoughts.... So in relation to this case, about 6 months ago OPS sent me a redacted contract as a PDF for issuing of parking notices on private land. I'm a graphic designer, so today I thought I'd just open it up in my design software to see if it had actually been redacted properly or if someone had simply stuck black rectangles over the text to hide them. And guess what, I now have the full details of the person the contract is with. Phoned them and explained the situation and apparently these people don't own the land, but manage it on behalf of someone else. They say they have the legal rights to manage it on their behalf etc but this does raise an interesting question... do they even have the legal right to do this?....
They said to send them the details and if they deem it right, they would ask them to cancel it. He didn't sound keen though as it's a property company who no doubt have an established relationship with OPS and I think he's concerned they might be cross charged...
    Very interesting though....

They are a third party , so they would have to have a contract with the landowner , because authority must flow from landowner through the 3rd party down to the parking company

VCS lost a court case this week at Southend airport because the claimant could not show or prove who the landowner was or the contract if it existed , this was because the landowner did not contract VCS , the airport did

I believe that coupon mad would be interested in that unredacted contract
