Quiet day, raining so no painting done. Went outside to put a few things in the shed (still need to take a few things out and sweep it but put the electrical things back in for now). Binned the old kettle - was too heavy for mum especially as her partner kept filling it. I bought her a new one and this one went to live in the shed (5 years now). It's been used at some point, possibly for watering, had water in and looked rusty, never going to be needed here and don't know anyone who could use it. Must start a 'things to go to the tip, if someone's going' list (not allowed on without a car and I don't have one).
Four more boxes broken up and put in the paper bin, then put it out for collection, checked the post box (post lady brought mum's silver paint - she's not painting either). Had a shower. Pill lady came (no steroids - hope they're not going to be permanently out of sync now, perhaps I can shuffle them forwards a few days at a time until they are back in line). These are the ones mum ran out of but we only got as far as we did by her using up all the space 1 mg tablets in the box (now has 5 mg per day, 1 pill). Don't want to go up to the wire with them every month.
Completed my jigsaw, 3 pieces missing but will give them a few days to turn up as it was difficult when it was in my room - slid off a few times. Not going to give it to charity with pieces missing but they may be temporarily misplaced. Mum went on about ' her dad wouldn't allow pop in the house, he didn't think it was good for you'. Told her several times it was fizzy water, finally turned round (she hadn't got her ears in) and said it was spring water, as it comes out of the ground. She'd already said I should not buy any more crisp or cake for her, because I would eat it if she didn't and I "didn't need it". I can't get through to her how counter productive it is for her to comment every time I put something in my mouth. Let it flow over me, I am so zen.
Grateful for mum feeling better, getting the jigsaw done, choosing not to go out .My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage5 -

Tuesday.
Thanks f0xh0les and apple_muncher, DDs eye looks OK but has a bump on her head and a bruised cheek bone. She is fine though and no doubt will have another scrape before long. I hope DS3 is OK f0xh0les and DS2 doesn't get any ideas about fun ambulance rides 😱.
It was NSD 16 today.
Day off tomorrow and a very long to-do list, which I have no chance of getting to the end of, but if i get most of it done I'll be happy.
Grateful today for seeds growing despite the cold, a relaxed day at work and friends who help out.6 -

NSD No 14
Second jab today. Little bit of queue but nothing major. I'm just so glad to have it done.
Got the price for our holiday in October. Very, very reasonable. We're booking it direct with the owner rather than go through the letting agency. Actually cheaper than last year. Amazing since everywhere else has shot up in price. And the Boy is going to take us there and back so no travel costs. It really has fair cheered me up and given us something to look forward to. I was beginning the think we would never go anywhere again.
Next stop. Maybe a wee lunch at a local restaurant with the lovely cousin? I'm not bothered about not being able to get a glass of wine with food (although it is nice). Quite happy with some sparkly water.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.7 -
NSD number 20 today, I would say I'm pleased with my efforts but due to my fine and messing up my budget all NSD's are now enforced ones lol.
Spent most of the day doing home visits/in the office. Pretty productive and was nice to see some colleagues too.6
