TooManyPoints said:Then provided your details are all shown correctly on it the first NIP should be served on you within 14 days. If you haven't got it by now you have the makings of a defence (albeit a difficult one to run).
Of course, looking back at the beginning of this, you don't actually know whether you have been detected speeding at all.
I am very confident it caught me speeding. Although..... there was a car in front of me who was speeding, probably going even faster.I was behind him but taking a slight left bend. It was when we got onto the straight bit of the road that the speed camera was in our view.I wasn’t too far away from the car in front, but I was not right up his a**e0 -
Also, I can’t thank you guys enough for all the help
snf guidance you’ve given me so far! I honestly appreciate it so much!Especially over the length of period this post has been running for already0 -
That’s definitely a V5c from April 2019 onwards;...I hope you made a note of the registered keepers name and address before you obliterated it with that black felt-tip pen of yours.

The Registered Keeper - the person whose name the V5C is in - is the person legally responsible for the car. They're the one that gets the s172. They just don't necessarily own it.
Think how few things in your life actually have your legal ownership registered anywhere...0 -
If you’re the Registered Keeeper and nothing has dropped through your letter-box by now it’s a fairly safe bet that you are in the clear;
...PC Plod was probably having a Jimmy Riddle behind the bushes when you zoomed past.

Gotcha.Well then, I guess that if the NIP & 172 form comes through the post whenever in the future for this offence, I guess I don’t have a leg to stand on? 😳0
