I guess I don’t have a leg to stand on? 😳
Not strictly true. It's just that you have to convince the court. You could pre-empt the issue by contacting the ticket office of the area you believe you were caught and ask them if any NIP has been sent to the RK of your car. If none has you've no need to worry. If it does get to court you could produce a transcript of this thread. It doesn't prove anything by itself but the court would have to consider why you would have spent over a fortnight asking the questions you have. It's your choice, but the law is as I've described. You can't really do much (except worry) until you either establish no NIP has been issued or you receive one.1 -

However, would it be classed as evidential 😒 in addition, if it did go to court and I entered a NGAP, and I lost, I would pay a fortune like you said earlier0 -
if I ring up Greater Manchester ticket office and I enquire, but they have not yet sent it but my phone call somehow prompts them to send it out!
If they produce one now and send it out it will be dated later than 14 days after the offence and there can be no dispute that it was not served in time. However, would it be classed as evidential 😒
If you produce it as part of your defence it would be evidence. It will be up to the court what weight they attach to it.1 -
Ohhh right. I’m with you now. I guess I have nothing to lose then by ringing the GMP CTO and finding out!
Although if I do receive one through the post in the upcoming day/weeks, I don’t know whether or not it is worth the risk of potentially losing in court and having to pay a great amount more0
