Hope you had a lovely weekend and enjoyed the walk, how's the tapestry coming on?
H x3 -
Morning,
Apologies for going AWOL again, RL and work have been hectic!
Thanks for the anniversary wishes, we had a great weekend and I did the walk, I only did a 10 miler rather than the 15 I was planning but I got a medal and some chocolate at the end
I'm half way through my tapestry but haven't done any for the past two weeks. I'll post a photo on Insta when I get chance.
Things are progressing with sorting out the bathroom, we have chosen a lovely bloke, who doesn't seem to want to rip people off, we have a few things left to sort out with him before we apply for the loan...we are looking at about £10k for the full works...Gulp! Anything left over, we will probably put to a new mattress (much needed!) or pay off the CC's.
RL is settling down a bit but I may be a bit sporadic next week.
I will be back later, as I am formulating July's plan.4 -
June hasn't quite ended up how I wanted it to and I'm thankful we have the OD. I have been feeling rather overwhelmed with things and need to get a grip!!
I said that I wasn't going to set goals but do weekly ones instead but I think I need a big kick up the bum in July just to keep motivated, I have lost all enthusiasm
Things coming up in July -
DD's birthday in August (before Aug payday!)
Talk to DH about getting rid of my car
Look at changing energy suppliers
DD Guides event at local waterpark (£10 needed)
DH car service (I think)
Car taxes due
Apply for bathroom loan
Before July starts I need to go through the cupboards and freezer and make a list, this is the first time in a long time that I don't know what is in the freezer and I am ashamed to admit it
My weekly aims - Week 1 (5th onwards)
4 AFD's minimum
NSD's - No specific target
Get off the iPad - way too much time on it
Keep moving
Meal plan
Personal goals
Keep going to Yoga/Pilates on Saturdays
Read my book
Do my tapestry
Once we have the loan approved for the bathroom, I can then plan an angle of attack. I want to get the Lloyds card to £5k and then move it over to the MBNA too.7 -
Every single month end I’m left scratching my head and wondering where the plan went!

I gave up making plans in the end and I just set mini goals each day, including a bit of family time, a bit of 'me' time, do something about my debt (that's where the 'payment a day' comes in on the challenge board. I start each day with a payment and then it gets me in the right mindset.

Ah don't fret about things, sometimes we're so busy that things get on top of us but you have all the tools to get back on track.
I like LMD's suggestion about setting daily goals, these can be part of your bigger goals so that will be achieved bit by bit.
Sounds great to get the bathroom done.

Good to see that you do yoga and Pilates pmo2 😼
I can't speak highly of it enough ..
Regarding the bathroom I hope the loan goes through , as you seem to have found somebody that you're happy with which is most important as we all know good tradespeople are hard to find . Just make sure not to pay a large amount upfront .
Best to pay in stages when requested .The rest of your update seems like "life stuff " in general and you'll manage okay with that .
Congratulations on the walk ..and chocolate 🍫3 -
Morning
I’ve been stressing really badly about the debt, wanting more money and finding a balance.
DH and I discussed trading both cars in and just getting a decent one, we need to go and talk to the dealership to see what they can do. DH has to trade his car in come January but I don’t want to wait that long.
The bathroom bloke is coming over on Tuesday evening to measure up and check that what we want to order will fit in the space.
Tuesday is also DS’s 17th birthday
I have Pilates this morning, it’s a new instructor at the gym so I thought I’d give it a go, if I don’t like it then I’ll go back to my Yoga session as I get on really well with her.
DS is having his mate around tonight for a bbq for his birthday, so need to get bits for that.
I checked the Lloyds card yesterday - £80.84 just in interest!!!! Shocked, so I’m going to pay this months and then move it over. We’ll have a fee to pay but it’s got to be cheaper in the long run to get it back on 0%
LMD - The Padding sounds interesting, I’m going to have a look in to that and once we have a final total, I may start doing that.
Thursday our local Boots store was broken into over night, not something you’d expect in our little town. They only raided the perfume cabinets though?! Glad no one was in at the the time.
Today, I need to visit town and get some veg and bits and this afternoon we need to go to Reading for bits for DS’s birthday.
Sorry for rambling5 -
No need to be sorry for the rambling pmo2. I do enough of that on my diairies .😼
It's what it's there for after all..
Hope the rest of the weekend goes well .3 -
Ramble away. It's just good to see you posting
