Morning,
Happy Monday
May is going good so far - 3 AFD's in the bag so far and 2 NSD's
I have my start time for my walk on the 23rd, it's 8.40am and I'm looking forward to it, just hope the weather stays good!
I'm in the office tomorrow, it'll be good to catch up with my team and see people.
I'm half way through with my tapestry, I started it at the beginning of the first lockdown and should be done in a few months (hopefully!)
Not much else going on money wise.

Good morning,
Tally so far - 6AFD's and 5 NSD's
The IFA managed to sort out our insurances and we have managed to save some money, this will go towards the loan for the bathroom. Just my car to sort out next!
I've joined the Flylady thread this week, I have the time in the mornings to do it, so I figured why not?
I need to go through the finances and figure out where we are budget wise.
Our washing machine broke this weekend, we have a replacement coming on Wednesday but I've had to use the EF to cover it. Part of me is sad that my lovely £1K EF is going to be reduced but I'm happy that we have it there ready to be used.
I need to submit meter readings to SSE and see what the damage is there, I hate that we have to have the heating on at the moment but DH won't switch it off yet until it warms up a bit.
I also need to get British Gas in to service the boiler, they haven't been because of the pandemic and it is now overdue, we are in need of the control's looking at too.
DH wants to call the bathroom bloke back in so we can go back over the estimate and get the estimate down to a bullet point so we know how much the loan will be.
It's our Wedding Anniversary on Saturday, so I have to remember to get a card for DH.
12 days to Pay Day!

Good that you have the emergency funds to cover the washing machine. I would say that is essential. Excellent news that you have saved on insurances too and have passed your probation. Morning!
Congrats on passing the probation period and great news on sorting the insurances.
Annoying about the washing machine but definitely glad you've got the emergency fund in place, that's what it's for.
Any plans for your anniversary?

Know how you feel about dipping in the emergency fund but I think having over £1000 in makes a big difference when something is paid out and the balance doesn't go back to zero again...so frustrating...that's my aim to get up to a decent balance
Was thinking this morning we are still using the heating and the tumble drier and its the middle of May....not looking good for lower bills over the summer ....we need some sun4 -

We're the same with the tumble drier too, I love hanging the washing out to dry, fingers crossed for some decent weather soon x4 -
Just got my Tesco Clubcard statement through, I save for Christmas and last year and this year I have topped it up, I currently have £171.50 on there
I have at least £80 on my Asda savings card too for Christmas.

Morning
DD went to the cinema last night after school with her friends, they had planned this as soon as they heard that the cinemas were reopening lol I still got conned out of £14
I went back over the budget for the month, we get paid in 10 days, I'm usually paid the last day of the month, but as that's a bank holiday chances are I'll get paid the same time as DH.
This weekend I need to go through the freezer and cupboards and see what we have, I've not done that for a while and the freezer does need a tidy up.
I got a payment through from Quidco, so that'll pay for DH's anniversary card, I've just got to find one I like....any ideas???
I've restarted the Flyladying and already the house seems different, may be it's just me
Two weeks and I have another week off for half term, I'm loving the fact that I can now get paid for leave lol
Hope everyone has a great day, back later xx4 -
All sounding good, glad the kids are able to get out and about now even if it costs you money.
No suggestions for DH card, we don't usually bother and we missed celebrating our 25th this year so will do something special next year instead. I once printed off a T*sco value card one year
I do Team TOMM to keep on top of the housework, makes such a difference to do a little each day.
Have a lovely day, H x
