The Bones - Take 2

Options
Morning,
I hope this posts ok.  I had trouble logging on once the upgrade happened as it kept freezing and throwing me out :(  I have a work laptop now, so I'm hoping it's sorted itself out.
So I'm back with a new diary, or I will be until I get thrown out again :D

Here is how things are debt wise in the Pmo2 household -
Barclaycard: £5400.00
Lloyds card: £5900.00
Total: £11,300.00
New bathroom loan - TBC

The OD is now at £500 and has been for the past year or so, DH won't get rid totally as he wants that buffer (can't argue as it was £2750 at it's highest  :o )

We desperately need to replace the family bathroom, so that is on the list and we will need to get a loan to do it.

We survived the initial lockdown, just! I lost my job due to cut backs.  I did get some furlough payments from the agency, claimed JSA as the furlough dried up ended up working in the local pub and then got offered a permanent job at Christmas which is currently working from home until they decide they want us back on site.

All the time, DH was on full pay and still is, they lost their bonuses but he's happy that he's still employed. DS is now an apprentice electrician working in London and goes to College one day a week, he does any overtime he can and he seems to be enjoying it. DD has weathered the storm of online classes and is glad to be back at school.

DH's mum died over Christmas, old age mainly not Corona, that was a blow, we are going to have a wake once this lockdown finished and we can meet up.

Sorry about your DHs mum but glad to see you posting again.  Good that you managed to get another job. Are the cards at 0%?

    It's good to be back.

The BC has two 0% deals on it. The first ends in Oct and the second one Jan 22.  The Lloyds has one and it finishes in July.
I'm currently dribbling money on to the Lloyds one as that finishes first.
  • I have various Pots for things and they currently look like this:

    Principality (Car Pot) - £302
    HSBC (Christmas) - £385
    Skipton
    Acc 1 - Emergency Fund - £1000
    Acc 2 - DD's Travel - £815 - Costs £745 for school travel per year
    Acc 3 - Utilities Pot - £100

I do think I need another couple of Pots but I think the basics are covered for the moment.
  • As it's Monday, I have made a payment to the Lloyds card of £45, once DH gets paid at the end of the week we should hit the £11K mark :)

I need to think about my April goals too this week.

  • Glad that you're back with another diary pmo2 😼
You and family seem to be handling the life changing effects very well. So many people from all walks of life have been affected and who knows what the future holds.
Your son being an electrician is a great move .
Sorry to hear about DH mum also .
Good luck with the bathroom if the plan goes ahead. 🛁
    I'll leave it there ..😼

  • I was looking over my old diaries and I’m surprised by how much more organised I was, I knew covid had demotivated me, but I didn’t realise by how much  :open_mouth:

I need to get my old mojo back again, may be being able to log back in again is a blessing in disguise.

  • Morning,

It looks like it's going to be a lovely day today, it's a bit cloudy but the sun is trying to break through. We had DD's parent's evening last night and they're really pleased with her, she is on target to hit her grades

I put some change in to my demi-john and terramundi this morning, this'll go towards Christmas.

I've checked the bank account and so far so good.  DH gets paid tomorrow :)  DS gets paid today and I get paid the last working day of the month.

I need to buy my mum's birthday present today, she wants some vouchers from her local garden centre, so I will sort that out and I need to sort her a card too.

I am going to sort out my April goals today, I have a few things I want to work on so it'll be good to have them written down.
