Haha I only remember as it was the first time I went that location, and had a screaming baby in car, and being a 4 day old driver haha. Traumatic memories 😂Johnersh said:PS why is it people always remember what they were doing one night at pizza express, some time ago?

I hope so as I feel it’s unfair if I genuinely didn’t see signs, then there is a reason I didn’t! Or I would of paid I always do if I see signs. And don’t get told blue badges are free parking anywhere haha.Umkomaas said:Not sure I can fight them here, as there is signs. But easily blocked as I said, and easy to miss from the right coming in.Of course you can fight it. You have given one very good reason to do so in your second sentence!Just annoying that pizza express didn’t say anything either about parking.1 -
Why was the car parked outside Pizza Express for almost 2 hours? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

So basically the story goes... I had a 2 month old baby and just passed my driving test. She was screaming in the car as I drove through bramhall, so I seen tesco garage on one side and pizza express on the other. So I decided I’d go in there, as I was breastfeeding. I was stressed out and didn’t want to drive till both me and baby was calm again. As I saw it as dangerous being a new drive and mum. So I feed baby which can take a long time. Changed her nappy and I went toilet. Then I ordered a drink and dough balls and waited till I didn’t feel on edge. Then takes a while to get the pram and baby in and out the car. It’s always long with a baby. If I wasn’t a new driver and mum and didn’t feel so on edge. I would of just carried on to my destination.Umkomaas said:Why was the car parked outside Pizza Express for almost 2 hours?2 -
Aha you might possibly have a bit more of a defence then as the mother of a breastfeeding baby. Parking companies (in fact anybody) has to give allowances to breastfeeding mothers. This is a protected characteristic under the Equality Act 2010 - ask Auntie Google.2

Well I thought when I appealed they might be understanding of a mother who has to breastfeed a baby, but they didn’t care. But will check that out if there is a law for that kind of thing.Le_Kirk said:Aha you might possibly have a bit more of a defence then as the mother of a breastfeeding baby. Found it! Thanks. Should I ask for pictures of my car entering and leaving? Or will they send them anyway? Thank youUmkomaas said:So I just filled in the SAR template and looking for a email to send it to on CEL website and I really can’t find nothing.Should be in the Privacy page of their website.1 -

They don't care when people appeal, it seems to be a standard tactic to reject, they don't make money if they accept appeals.shortysky said:

Here is a good place to start for Equality Act: -

which you might be able to use in the witness statement or during the hearing.2
