Hmmm... don't throw all you paperwork away just yet.
It is not unknown for a Claimant to have actually paid the hearing fee but the court not to have noticed.
You can expect the Claimant to object forcibly if they have paid the fee and the court has blundered.

I hope so. No I’m not throwing anything. As I will have to wait and see once the court date has passed. But the shop owner next door to pizza express, said that’s what they tend to do. Drop out the closet to court it gets.3

He's got it sussed - the favourite CEL modus op, judgment in default, clamp their credit, get them crawling back, paying for release.
