Oh good! So glad you loved it just as much!! And great news about the garage conversion! Did they give you an idea on when they plan complete?
I know, I mean, it'll be fine if it's a bit after, but certainly not ideal as I've given notice at my sons nursery so he'll be literally stuck home with me while I work until we move. I'm at the point now I just want to move ASAP!x

No  but he seemed as keen as us, he reckons the EA has said 4 weeks max. Problem is rental notice, I have to give it Friday or we'll  be paying for an extra month and the response from my solicitor was its too early to say we'll complete on time 🤣 honestly this house buying thing is all consuming I can't wait to have the keys and just breathe easily again 🤣🤣🤣

    Hey,
    Mental week!

I don't think my employer gave a reference? If they did they went directly to them, as I wasn't asked anything about my job at all.

It's because sick pay was showing on the last 3 payslips - we think they wanted confirmation my partner is back at work - the initial reference email wasn't enough but MA thinks the payslip showing full pay and no sickness should resolve any questions.

Just waiting on the survey feedback now - Surveyor said he'd call with any concerns above and beyond so no news is good news on that side. Aldermore have asked for the full copy of the HTB redemption letter and valuation from my surveyor for our sale.

I'm away on holiday on Saturday and there's barely any phone signal so I'll be on a knife edge all week!!!

They did this with my wife actually but that was because her worked messaged a wage slip up showing sick even though she wasn’t!

We got a wage slip with no sick pay on and a letter from her employer to state no sick since January and they where happy with both so hopefully be the same for you!

Nothing for us again today, can’t see us hearing anything now until next week 😩

everytime they’ve asked us for more information 3 times now, it’s been 5 working days to hear anything else

it’ll be 5 weeks Friday since we applied

Well guys, pleased to report I received an unconditional offer from Aldermore this morning - so I'll be doing a dance around my living room for the next 2 hours if anyone wants to join virtually!
Seems the payslip showing no sickness tipped the balance and although we had concerns we were overpaying on the house purchase (our buyers are overpaying on ours it's just the market) the valuation has been fine.
What a strange feeling - my mortgage broker has been a Saint.

Haha, mine has been ok so far (well the admin staff!), I’ve started the ball rolling with searches today (had paid but asked them to hold off).

I know there’s plenty to go wrong but I’m opening a bottle of bubbly tonight

Haha good for you! I'm back to worrying about what could go wrong. My solicitor isn't doing stuff in a hurry it seems, searches were back on 25 April, I got sent them 2 days ago. She's been off this week apparently and is back tomorrow but it's Friday and they will be super busy so well be rolling into another months tenancy 😳

the wait post offer isn't as stressful, but holding off making plans/giving notice is frustrating. It's been 6 weeks since I got my offer, searches took 3 weeks, so 3 weeks of nothing really.
I rent privately, so I've told my landlord I'm hoping to be out by 26th June, but my solicitor has advised it would be careless for them to confirm my notice until everything is finalised. Just very frustrating not knowing a date with no chain at this point, I think on average it's 8 weeks, so I'll chase again next week x
