Just got back from seeing the new house! As in love with it as before, and I got to take my eldest 🥰 spoke to our vendor, he said he has 2 forms left to take to his solicitor tomorrow, so hopefully we will be able to exchange and complete pretty soon! Apparently the estate agent told him Friday that it would be 4 weeks max!
    Great news! Fingers crossed 🤞

we’ve heard absolutely nothing since the remaining paperwork went in last Friday! So it’s the 5th working day today just hoping we hear something good today or tomorrow

Ooh I would definitely chase that today! Fingers crossed. I've just booked us a tip slot and we've started looking at repainting the rental 🤣

Just heard and it’s just round and round in circles 😩

They’ve asked for documents we’ve already sent so it looks like we need to resubmit these and wait another 5/6 days for them to be looked at again 🤦

MA is confident from here but it’s just the further delays and not knowing it’s absolutely draining!

We’ve done several tip runs now and even had a few car boot sales(amazing what you can make!) next step is touching our rental up although I’m not too concerned as we’ve been here 5 years I’m sure they’ll expect some updating they’ll have to do!

Oh I feel your pain, I had to submit things I'd already sent. The waiting is the worst!

We've been here 2.5 years, and I've been debating what constitutes fair wear and tear with regards to the walls... but then the threads I've read on here are like marks should be repainted if you want your deposit back so... the kitchen and downstairs toilet definitely need doing lol the kids aren't very good at aiming for the bin 🤦‍♂️ there's some water damage to two kitchen cabinets too, but directly under the sink. Originally I was going to have replacements made but next door (same ll same kitchen) have said exactly the same has happened to hers. This moving lark is super stressful!

You’d think some level or wear and tear would be fine! Every landlord is different I guess! Ours gave us our deposit back after a year and our contact ran out in January so guess ours wouldn’t have a leg to stand on if they weren’t happy with something though I plan on handing it back in a good state as it’s always been kept!

It sounds more like admin hiccups! They did a similar thing to me - it feels like they are constantly underwriting!

Ah so Aldermore came back again today asking for more detail.
Our current property is HTB and they want to know how much of it we own (80%) and amy partner was off work for 3 months (she's now back full time and was on full pay). We sent an employee reference through but now they want more direct from the employer.

    Getting nervous!!

Honestly they asked me for so many documents and they just kept asking. I was so sure they would say no. They had a letter from my employer stating everything you'd get on an employer reference cause they wanted proof of me going back off maternity, then they asked for a separate employer reference too!
