That's really useful @mandycurl, thank you. Thanks to some palava with some missed payments on a credit card over Christmas (entirely my fault) Aldermore are my only option atm too.

I can't see the hard search on my file (can see the DIP soft search) so I think I'm in the backlog as we speak - it looks like they've only checked initial documents are in place ahead of an assesment. 

I hate not knowing how my buyers are progressing too!

My hard search was done on the day of application both times. It only shows on my experian file and nowhere else. Maybe just email your broker for an update? I had to do that every time and found out there were documents needed almost every time 🤣 it's super stressful waiting around!

Hahahahahaha, I would be doing the exact same! Definitley worth asking for a copy of the valuation as an excuse to chase tomorrow :P x

Mine was the same, hard search done straight away, and also only showed on my Experian, i've had my clearscore updated this month and also doesn't show the hard search which was completed 10th March!

I didn’t think I had a hard search looking on Experian, but when I opened it up it stated ‘could affect my credit’. I’d assumed all along it was soft!🙄
I’m thankful I’m not in a chain. We have vowed never to move again after this experience. Sooo impatient, and doing it through a broker and not yourself you feel a little out of control!🤣

No chain here either, silly me thought that meant it would be quick! We put our offer in on 27th Feb 🤣 ill.post up my timeline when I finally get a decision from the mortgage.

Yep, last Wednesday. To be fair, if you got by my 2nd application date of 1st of April.including all the easter Bank Holiday its been quite quick, its just the fact that we've done the app twice that's made it feel like absolutely forever. I've got a feeling tomorrow is the day.... aldermores site says 5 days but they and they had all the paperwork in last Friday so 🤞 I will email if I don't hear by Friday morning I don't think I can take another weekend of waiting 🤣 and I m questioning everything I do, I've just had to set up a direct debit so my daughter can attend a gym fun day but it's a one off payment, so now I'm worried I shouldn't have done it 🤣🤣🤣 I'm going crazy now.

I’m using your timeline as a rough guide so ours is more likely end of next week!🙏🏻 My partner thinks it will be Friday, he’s worse than me. He went through a stage of messaging the broker every other day! Our broker turned around to him in the end and said ‘trust me and let me do my job!’🤣🤣

Surely you will know by Friday!🙈  fingers crossed for you!! Eeek!!🙈

I don't think I would be as bad if they hadn't questioned how we plan to survive My maternity leave 🤣 makes me super paranoid they will ask for more bank statements and decide we can't afford it til I go back to work full time! My broker is being quite reasonable about my constant emails, I think she knows that I'm edgy as one application already got cancelled die to mistakes 😳😳
