This part is 100% the worst, honestly I hated it, I wasn't sleeping, stress eating 3 bags of haribo a day at my desk while refreshing my emails and checking I had phone signal haha.CLJ2986 said:Yup waiting is the worst! I think it's because there's nothing you can do. I can't plan to move til we get a yes and I can't really plan for what we will do if its a decline until it happens. I'm just budgeting my remaining maternity leave as I'm now on stat pay and I can't even do that properly as I don't know where I'll live! 🤣
Oh gosh, it's so difficult! What time are you planning on emailing? my plan is to get on with some packing during this week! i've doe a few boxes, but I think I may eventually be able to pack some winter clothes now the snow has disappeared!0 -
Ha I've just emailed them. Apologetic as always 🤣 hopefully get a reply this afternoon 🤞0

So I actually got an email almost straight back. No real update, but the valuation came back as expected and she thinks it will now be Friday before anymore news.1

That's good though! Has she sent the valuation over? My broker got my offer 2 days after it was returned back, so Friday seems realistic! xCLJ2986 said:So I actually got an email almost straight back. Hi everyone,
Ah you all seem to be flying ahead of me. We put our full application in 18th April and paid the valuation fee.
Aldermore haven't even assessed the documents/application we sent through yet - mind immediately moving to this is bad news or they are just incredibly busy at the moment - no valuation instruction yet either.0 -
Hey, I think they are busy, that's what my broker said this morning. On our first application they hadn't instructed our val after 3 weeks. This time it took 2 I think. Have you heard from your broker?Reddington85 said:Hi everyone,

No she hasn't sent me the valuation. Should she have done? I didn't think I got a copy.1 -
Yeah they said end of the week last week and this week are saying end of the week.CLJ2986 said:

I'm a natural worrier so I don't want to be that Customer who hounds my poor broker with endless questions haha.
All they've asked for so far is an income declaration form and a direct debit mandate which they hadn't asked for initially (the direct debit mandate was an oversight on my part)
I am hoping once valuation survey is done that things will move much quicker!
Although if Aldermore decline I'm not sure there's another company out there for us.0 -
Same, if its a no here then we will have to go back to saving and try again probably next year. No high street would touch us. I wished I had asked why now though!Reddington85 said:

@Reddington85 did your broker take wage slips/bank statements early on?
My broker took these straight off, so the only additional paperwork I had requested was a donor letter from my mum I think? And confirmation I would pay any outstanding debts off prior to completion. I know it feels like you're pestering, I was the exact same, and now am with my solicitors :') but all these questions are what they're there for
Your broker will hopefully be able to ease your mind a touch x
@CLJ2986 - My broker sent my valuation report over as soon as he received it, I also got a copy of it in my offer when it came in the post. So I thought that was normal?x0 -
sorry for jumping on this, what kind of questions do they keep asking in regards to your bank statements do they go through every card payment etc. me and my partner have a joint account for bills and saving and then we have our own for living and socializing and stuff we put more than we need in the savings to grow it, i presume they will look into both but my own 'fun' account we just spend whatever we leave 40% of my wage in them to do what we want through the month. my credit isnt the best so am worriedCLJ2986 said:
Hi! What do you think the issue is with your bank statements? Mine were a mess lol I use my card for everything but then I haven't been accepted yet 😳 some other posts made me think if they aren't happy after the initial checks then you get a decline or recommend a lower ltv but I'm.on my 4th week with my 2nd application and they just keep asking for more info 🤣 not very helpful I know sorry!ihaveaquestionplease said:Hi everyone, I’ve been following your posts for a week or so - thanks @CLJ2986 for the recommendation to check out this thread
I have an application in with Aldermore and like many of these posts am literally so anxious and certain it’s all gonna go wrong.Does anyone know what happens if the application is rejected - is it a straight up ‘no’ or do they give options as in lower LTV etc?I’m nervous my affordability won’t be up to standard based on recent bank statements etc.Any guidance or info would be appreciated, thanks x
