CLJ2986 said:srh88 said:So our latest is we got declined on a 95% due to them deciding they won’t accept our disability allowance on a 95% ltv which as our MA has said even without that payment we still meet the affordability! Our MA is looking at everything again and is getting in touch with aldermore to see why this is a problem
we could stretch to 90% ltv at a push but not the news we hoped for at all!
I'm off out for the day to keep myself from harassing my broker or my boss over this reference!! Its the last thing they I need I hope so the urge to chase it up again is strong hahaha I wouldn't mind so much but they already have a letter from my boss stating my start date, position, pay and everything 😳
So apparently they have a different affordability calculator for 95%LTV yet they don't tell anyone of this and still pass DIP which is ridiculous
so we've had to appeal our decline and will find out next week now!
Coventry has been mentioned so that maybe out next step should aldermore not change their mind.
They're saying its because they won't accept DLA on 95% yet thats only 2k a year that they actually take into account, not sure how 2k a year makes us go from a 95% mortgage to an 85% one!
Hopefully yours has some progress, defo sounds like its much more advanced than ours!0 -
@srh88 fingers crossed for your appeal! Let us know how you get on. I had some.last minute emails today, my employer ref was received, filled out and sent back so keeping everything crossed that Aldermore now have all they need. My ma said she would check for an update mid week next week.0

And another week begins.... they can't need anything else from me now surely 🤣 so hoping for an update by Wednesday!!0

@srh88 Wow you'd think that would be really basic information for them to pass on! Speak about making a stressful time even more stressful
Hopefully this week will fly by and there'll be good news by Friday!
@CLJ2986 Oooo that's exciting! You're right, they've had literally everything from you, twice! Has your broker received a copy of the valuation yet? I think I found the worst part was inbetween valuation returned and waiting for offer :') even though the broker said he had every confidence, I still had it in my head i was going to receive a rejection letter! Based on my dates you should know by Wednesday
Only update I have is that I've not heard back from my solicitor..yet! Hoping I'll have something today, as may try for a second viewing this weekend x0 -

it should DEFINITELY be this week, it's gone on for way too long already!
Hahahaha that's how I feel, I literally feel annoying hahaha, I'm going to give him til lunch time and then email again. He was on AL til today, but I did forward the email on to the person covering, with no response - which is disappointing. I spoke with my broker regarding buildings and contents insurance the other day, and he thinks we should definitely be discussing dates and to keep pushing. I don't know if he's just saying that so it goes through and he gets his money from Aldermore hahah x0 -

Hahaha, Wednesday is a good shout! Just try keep really busy tomorrow! Definitely harder than it sounds though! x0 -
Ah thats good, sounds like your solictor is at the same stage as mine, the sections are broken down so the purchase contract is complete, now they must be on the pre exchange check which says enquiries satisfied and file authorised so assuming they are waiting for the seller and then I have to read and sign the paperwork. Really proud that I haven't emailed the broker yet actually haha keep thinking if I just ask they might check and find it's being looked at 🤣1

Hopefully not too long, booked in for a second viewing on Sunday too, and they're happy for my son, mum and stepdad to come. So hopefully you'll be okay with your second viewing too0
