That's so good! If I'd have moved home sooner I'd have definitely used my mum a lot more than I've been able to! My sons dad moved out of the area not long after we split, so we have his dad an hour east and my family all an hour west.. then just us two stuck in the middle for now!

Yep, 3 emails yesterday and one this morning, got an out of office reply. Tried my boss and he's off today. Emailed actuL broker to try and discover what's going on with the work ref but seems like not a lot I can do about it until tomorrow now! If they are just waiting on the val, my ref and my letter then hopefully if I can get that done tomorrow its 5 days til an answer!

Oh gosh, it's really dragging out isn't it I'm sure they will get back to you soon. but you should definitely know something by next week. your broker will get your offer, mine didn;t come in the post until like 8th April, so when you next speak with her I'd maybe make a point of wanting/needing to know ASAP as you know there'll be delays with the post etc, as it's likely yours will be sent over a bank holiday weekend, like mine! x

Yeah really trying to force this through before the next bank holiday! My broker emailed and I've requested they resend the work ref. Valuation is done so literally just waiting on that! Can't believe how long it's taken. Will be so worth every second if we get that offer though!!

Yeah i'll bet, I'm sure you'll hear something before next Friday! I'd be very shocked if not!!

I've just seen that my EA are chasing me for an update, the email went into my junk so I've chased the Solicitor, I feel bad pestering, but with no chain, we really should be able to start looking at dates now x

Ooh that's exciting! Hopefully ours will be fast once the mortgage is offered. I'm surprised I haven't been chased by the ea lol its taken so long for this mortgage! Unless the sellers aren't  in a massive hurry 🤷‍♂️

Have they not chased at all? I've been chased about 4 times lol. I always respond, but never with any updates as I'm forever waiting!

Yeah, your solicitors are pretty much done, so it shouldn't take too long unless there's a chain, I know you've said, but I can't for the life of me remember! x

Nope no onward chain and we're in rental so chain free 🙂  as far as I know the searches have been started on 1st April and my local authority are taking 35 days so I'm guessing about 2 weeks til they are back? Enquiries have been sent to seller also. I think almost all of the initial pre exchange stuff is done. I haven't been asked to pay for anymore stuff though, I'm guessing my initial 250 quid is covering it at the moment?

So our latest is we got declined on a 95% due to them deciding they won’t accept our disability allowance on a 95% ltv which as our MA has said even without that payment we still meet the affordability! 

Our MA is looking at everything again and is getting in touch with aldermore to see why this is a problem 


we could stretch to 90% ltv at a push but not the news we hoped for at all!

Oh sorry to hear that! Hopefully your ma will be able to salvage the situation!! I'll keep everything crossed for you! 

I'm off out for the day to keep myself from harassing my broker or my boss over this reference!! Its the last thing they I need I hope so the urge to chase it up again is strong hahaha I wouldn't mind so much but they already have a letter from my boss stating my start date, position, pay and everything 😳

So my solicitor tracking page has today updated to all enquiries received, will we receive any paperwork now? No idea how this works!
