@JMcc123 any news with your conveyancing? I have 3 Green boxes on my tracking system, saying contract pack.recieved, search pack requested and enquiries sent to seller... not sure what that All means lol! Just need that elusive mortgage offer 🤣🤞
No news yet! i don;t have a tracking system, I don't want to pester them as all over my paperwork it says 'REMEMBER OUR TIME IS YOUR MONEY!' and advised to only call/email if necessary :') It'll be 21 days since searches were instructed on Thursday, so I will chase on Monday. Hopefully it'll be quick once you get your offer now! x
Ha yeah I haven't bothered my solicitor yet, don't see the point until we have an offer. Are you second viewing? I plan to ask if I can take my kids to see the house. Not sure they will let me take them all cause of covid but at the very least I want to take my eldest
Hahaha, I wouldn't! Although my solicitors assistant seems lovely those words just keep resounding in my head! I'm hoping to, but I'm not sure who I contact about it? I could do wiht double checking some measurements, The front room has a bay window and I need to know if that's included in the room length, because if it is i'll need a new sofa!

Ahh that'll be nice, i would like to take my little one as well actually, although the door isn't going to be green yet hahaha x
I would the estate agents, that's who I plan to ask if and when we get our offer. We took the two youngest when we initially viewed but the older 3 haven't seen it yet, would be nice for them to see their house before we move in! Going to say that all the adults will happily do a rapid covid test the day before we go etc

Yeah if you do the rapid tests before you go shouldn't be a problem really!
I'll plan a weekend at home and see what they can do. Difficult to get back as I work full time and little one in nursery, and its an hour away so needs to be a weekend really!
I think I'd get a better feel of the place with a second  viewing though! Just keep scrolling through the pictures on zoopla atm 😅 xx

No, I'm on there constantly pre planning and changing my mind on where I want things to go 🤣 I've even screenshot the floor plans and drawn on where I want certain things 🤣🙈

Valuation was done Thursday 25th, returned back as good Monday 29th, offer recieved Thursday 1st, but someone on here got their offer the day after the valuation was done, so i guess it depends how quickly the surveyors get back to Aldermore and if there's any bits of underwriting needed! Fingers crossed though 🤞 i think my valuation to offer was quite slow, but they'd added terms into mine that my whopping debt of £1,400 needed to be paid in full before completion 🤣🙈 if it was £14,000 and my mortgage payments weren't going to ve £300 less a month than I'm paying here i could understand that part a bit more! But hey ho, be nice moving into our new home with a totally clean slate x

Oh crap that worries me a little, our mortgage payments will be slightly higher than our rent, wonder if they are gonna ask me to pay off anything 😳😳😳

I had to confirm payments would be made prior to it going to valuation, so doubt they'd come back to you with that this far on 😊 a big thing for me is its only one income I think, because there's 2 of you the income will be undoubtedly be higher than mine and a couple is likely to be seen as more secure x

Ah thats maybe true, thanks. I might sleep better now haha. I believe They've disregarded a chunk of our income as its on payslips as bonuses, even though I get the same amount give or take a quid, every month for the past 7 years! Crazy all this mortgage business 😳

Question, when did aldermore do a hard credit check for you?

They did one for us when we got our first DIP 3 months ago because it went to the underwriter but that DIP expired

not had one since for the latest DIP or application so far so not sure if they have a timeframe where they use the old one or if they haven't got to it yet for us

They did mine the day of our application. Have you paid the valuation fee yet?
