Do any of you guys know who did the valuation? Was it e-serv?
Mine was Connells Valuation and Surveys

Have you heard any more? do you know if Valuation has been done? I would definitely drop them a quick email if you've not heard any more :)

I emailed Solicitor yesterday asking if 18th June would be realistic for completion (offer received 01/04) and he said it's far too early to speculate :O I thought we would be fine with that date as there is no chain.. obviously not! x
Gosh I hope it goes faster for you!! Yeah our valuation has been booked for 21st April now and they are requesting an employer reference for me. Did anyone else have that? My broker said no further documents are outstanding so 🤞 that's it.

It does seem like a very long time for completion, I'm hoping the Solicitor is just being very cautious!
I didn't send an employer reference, but I did get a slight payrise starting 01/04, so when I got an email confirming that i forwarded it onto the broker, hoping that would help! So that's all official paperwork and I guess would work the same?
    Positive news!! 21st isn't too far off! :D x

Better still, I had another email after I asked what the employer ref is for, my broker said its the same as a letter I've already provided but they haven't looked at yet (return to work from mat leave letter) so hopefully they will cancel the employer one after that. That was submitted today. And she said she should be giving us an offer by the end of the month 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞

Hi! I’ve been anxiously following this post as I’m awaiting an update from aldermore too!

    DIP 06/04/21
    Full application 09/04/21
    Request for more information 13/04/21

and since it has been a waiting game, one that I’m not dealing with so well 🤣

MA said we should hear something today/tomorrow and that it was back in a queue with the additional documents

no valuation instructed yet to my knowledge

solicitor side the searches have begun but no update since 12/04/21

Hi! My initial application went in at the beginning of March then due to mistakes it was cancelled and we had to start again from the beginning, which was the 1st of April. Been chasing my broker lots, think I annoy her haha but valuation is now tomorrow and we didn't get this far the first time so 🤞🤞 why have you had to go with Aldermore if you don't mind me asking? Mine was a history of missed payments and poor financial history 2 years ago, with a 10% deposit. Waiting is hard lol

Fingers crossed 🤞 hope all goes to plan tomorrow and onwards for you! I’m sure my broker is sick of me already too 🤣

so we went with aldermore due to me being self employed and credit history is fair for both of us due to 4 missed payments in the last 3 years and also got some defaults but they’re over 3 years old now

we managed to get the application in with their 5% deposit and I think that was a factor for going with aldermore too!

It’s so difficult the not knowing! All this exciting stuff buying a house but then serious doubts until you’ve an offer on the table!
  • They have just pulled out on us at underwriting stage we had DIP and broker and estate agents told us to instruct solicitor 😭

@desperate+determined sorry to hear that. Had your app been with them for long? Hope it doesn't cost too much for the solicitor. I know we had to pay 250.up front for ours and I think they've done a fair bit since then so we will be looking at a bit more if it falls through.

@srh88 ah everything crossed for you! The 5% wasn't out when we applied, but we couldn't even get a dip with a 10% ltv with a mainstream lender (first broker all but gave up on us 🤣) so really hoping Aldermore say yes
