Similar timeline for me, (NW current a/c money and a transfer in from a matured Newcastle B/S ISA). except I had confirmation re matured ISA that it has been sent to Nationwide. Nothing showing on my online A/C. My money seems to have been lost in some big black hole somewhere!!!! There is some waffle on the N/W website about current delays but 6 weeks to open an ISA seems a bit much!!TojoRalph said:The story so far with my ISA application, which is like many others.
10th April: Submit application to be funded with NW current account monies and old ISA monies from Santander.
6th May: Santander receive request to transfer old ISA monies to NW.
7th May: No ISA when logging on, monies still in NW current account and old ISA monies with Santander.1 -
You will also find that your 18 month fixed term starts at the point the application is accepted, not from when the funds are deposited.
I basically have a 17 month fixed term with Nationwide as, for the first month, I was locked in to my previous provider.
No issues with this from my angle anyway.0 -
Thought I would update the story so far with my ISA application based on logging in and written NW communications.
10th April: Apply for ISA. Funded by NW current account monies & Santander old ISA monies.
6th May: Santander receive request to transfer old ISA monies to NW.
7th May: No ISA, new monies still in NW current account and old ISA monies with Santander.
10th May: Letter from NW dated 6th May confirms application, advises 15 working days from 6th May.
11th May: Monies leave Santander account.
15th May: Receive letter from NW dated 10th May containing ISA declaration.
17th May: No ISA, new monies still in NW current account and old ISA monies in cyber space.

Nationwide did apply for my ISA transfer but failed to include the account number/roll number so my current provider couldn't action it - I responded the same day when NW texted to confirm there was an issue with my transfer (due to their mistake!) and 5 weeks on I am still waiting.
I raised a complaint about this and they have just extended the period for them to respond on the complaint by two weeks!
I have no idea what is going on as they should have cleared the backlog by now - have NW just given up and will this ever be solved?
I might sympathise if this was a small local building society - but this is the country's largest building society with over 10 million customers!2 -
I applied on 4th April, with a transfer from Nationwide and Halifax. Halifax account closed on 12th April and I received an ISA declaration from Nationwide dated 13th April but nothing is showing online. Contacted Nationwide online chat asking what had happened and was told there was a huge backlog and it should all go through fine. Still waitingMiró said:

My husband also applied on 4th April, with a transfer from Halifax and TSB. Money has left both Halfax and TSB but still nothing showing online with Nationwide, although he did receive a certificate but that only showed money from the Halifax!
He also received an email to say that his application would be backdated to 5 April and interest would be also applied from 5th April.
Think I'll give them a ring tomorrow - just hope it soon gets sorted...0
