That’s super annoying, but... those things sound like they could be sorted ASAP. I remember a couple of weeks back my solicitor said there were 20 points that the vendors solicitor needed to come back on. I thought that would take months, but was all sorted very quickly. Glad you’ve got a bit more of an update and I’m sure if you get in contact with the vendors solicitor via the estate agents then that should give them a kick up the bum. We also did that previously and it worked!1

Omg that's amazing news!!!!! I'm so happy for you!!! I'll keep my fingers well crossed until Tuesday! No news from my side, I called the agent this morning but ended up talking with the assistant person, as apparently the EA is off sick today. I told them the seller's solicitor needs chasing but I'll have to wait for her to be back, hopefully early next week. Contract hasn't arrived either, so my solicitor didn't send it special delivery.Debt free journey started 30/08/2023:

And another week has started! @kennedy1989 your exchange is booked for tomorrow? Let us know how it goes!!
I have little news about my enquiries.. One of them is sorted, as the seller's solicitor sent the LPE1 form on Friday evening. Apparently they still need to send original documents, but that shouldn't be a problem.
Then there's 1 enquiry still not resolved, which now worries me a bit because it might end up holding everything up. There's a wall between the kitchen and the living room, and some time before the seller purchased the property in 2000, the previous owners made an opening in that wall to create a passage from kitchen to living room. We've enquired about permits for those works and especially the permission from the freeholder. Seller replied she doesn't have these documents as it was like that when she purchased it. My solicitor says it is not good enough, and they should provide at least the permission from the freeholder and a proof to document that is not a weight-bearing wall, which should have been provided before making any kind of changes there. She said that, if they don't have them, they will have to provide me with an "indemnity policy to cover breach of the covenants contained in the lease". I'm afraid this will cause a delay? Am I being too picky being fixated with this? I am planning to close that wall anyway, but I'm afraid if something happens then I will have to pay whatever fine and/or damage/additional costs. I'm now being paranoid that this will hold up everything!!!! I'm so nervous!Debt free journey started 30/08/2023:

Oh gosh that sounds intense. I think go with whatever your solicitor is saying. You want to make sure you have all the relevant paperwork for when you eventually sell on too! Hopefully it doesn’t cause a crazy delay as that would be super annoying.Exchange is now happening tomorrow, but we are still set for completion on 28th ekkkk will keep you all updated!1

Morning all! No news on my front.. solicitor reached out for the 3rd time to seller's solicitor as their answer was still not satisfactory. This is literally the only thing holding everything up! It's driving me insane, I'm compulsively refreshing my Inbox every 3 minutes! Spoke with the EA yesterday and she took note and said she would call the seller "straight away". Haven't heard back since.
@kennedy1989 how did it go yesterday? Has exchange happened smoothly? Give us some good news, I need to keep hoping for the best!Debt free journey started 30/08/2023:
