From my side, I finally managed to know why we weren't able to exchange last week, had to know from the agent, because my solicitor refuses to ever tell me details! So basically, after I compiled that form about building insurance, the solicitor never replied to my question if that was all ok, and they reached out to the vendor's solicitor to request details. Obviously they had then to ask the details about insurance from the property management, and that's where we are. According to the agent, they will send the info today and then we will be able to exchange, but I'm not holding my breath. Honestly, even if they send the info today, knowing how slow the seller's solicitor is, how slow my solicitor is, and how slow Saffron is, I will consider it a success if we manage to exchange before Friday!

Not sure about exchange date yet, hoping to hear this week but expecting it to be between 2 and 3 weeks before. So beginning of July at the latest I hope. 

Oh my goodness! What a nightmare. But I'm glad you finally got some information from someone. Feels like you've been waiting for the next steps for so long now. Everything crossed you can exchange this week and hopefully you'll be all done by the end of this month. Keep chasing them! All the stress will be worth it when you're in your new home 🏡☺

Please please please tell me you have exchanged and completed! Or at least exchanged. I’m so sorry it’s been so slow for you. Saffron moved very quick for us on releasing funds, they have a week notice and sent us a text when they had released it too. They also sent an amazing welcome hamper a week after we got the keys! Got some yummy goodies in there to enjoy!

Hi again Kennedy, great to hear you're all in and settled. We are nearly at the point of exchange, completion date set for less than 3 weeks from now. Just a quick question  - did Saffron run any further credit checks before releasing the funds? I don't know why I'm worrying about this as our circumstances haven't changed at all... think I just always need something to worry about 🤣

The hamper thing sounds amazing, can't wait to receive it! Thanks for telling me actually, as I'll not move into the property until the 16th July, so I'll pop there every day or so just to be sure!

Thanks! Still hasn't happened yet. I'm almost at breaking point with anxiety and impatience! While pretending to work!

My solicitor this morning said that they were only waiting for Saffron to confirm release of funds, which they have requested last week! I suppose it's the usual slowness from Saffron side? Or maybe my solicitor has been busy with completions? I wait until 16:30 then I'll give her a nudge, although I feel bad as I know she's on it because she replied immediately this morning!
