I'm off into the April budget with a supermarket spend of £47.80. More than I'd like, but I didn't have time to scoot around several different shops or go down into the city to L!dls. There'll be more spent tomorrow when I stock up with fresh stuff at the market. Feeding 5 adults with 2, possibly 3 different diets - omnivore, pescatarian & fusspotarian - full time, and another 3 on high days & holidays - outdoors, of course!Angie - GC Aug25: £292.26/£550 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)6

I tried to spend money today but the items on my list were out of stock so I shall have to make do until Saturday now which will probably do wonders for my budgeting.6 -

Went to the market this morning and the bank blocked my card after the second transaction (the traders come from a one hour radius around the town). Third place no contactless, fourth place no go at all! I can see how it looked after a year of online click and collect or credit card shopping but not very convenient for me 🙄🙄🤔. Fortunately we got there with another bank card!
Treated us to a rib of beef from our (no-)entertainment budget but otherwise, spent £16.50 at the fishmonger, £10.50 at the baker and £12.14 on fruit and veg. We should be good until mid-April with luckSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)

my budget for April is $400USD and I've spent $35.72 to top up a few things. I still need eggs (none in the delivery this morning). I should be able to do $300 really because we will be out of town for a week this month.

Another £65 spent at the market this morning, on fish, a couple of pasties for my fusspot (who doesn't eat fish despite spending several months up the Andes helping with fish & potato farming) cheese, fruit & veg, plus a big gammon for later reference. I did get a massive bargain with a huge tray of blueberries for £3; a few going over but the vast majority absolutely fine. I've frozen two big trays-full and will turn most of the rest into blueberry & lemon jam & ice cream tomorrow.Angie - GC Aug25: £292.26/£550 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)7
