I’m declaring at £138/£140. I’m not sure where the extra 60p came from but, when I went to put the May GC money into its purse, there were two £1 coins sitting in there. I can only think DH didn’t take the change when he bought some items earlier in the month and needed to be reimbursed from the GC purse.
(Incidentally, his new job is going well. He feels a little overwhelmed by the number of things he has to learn, but he’s really enjoying it.)
See you all in May.

Spent an additional £6.40 on beer, milk and bananas yesterday so am declaring at £84.47/£120 which averages £2.81 per day. I've put £35.53 leftover into my treat fund. See you all over in May.2

I’ve shamefully come in at £472.91 / £350.00. I really blew the budget in the last week due to replenishing key items like dishwasher tablets for £8 because we were out, all of our dairy because we were completely out of milk, cheese, yoghurt, butter, etc. This month had so many bulk purchases and now we need to get laundry detergent too. Sigh. Over to May.0

£293.55 / £400 - will set a lower target for May and do better - there were a few top up shops here and a couple of quick takeaways too, none of this was planned it was just due to lack of organisation, running out of time or certain items. I also find I am starting to spend too little on the weekly shop by being overly ambitious, which only seems to lead to top up shops where obviously lots of dosh ends up getting spent! I definitely need to rein it in next month.1

I'm still bobbing along in the background. Currently spent £639.88 out of a £2000 yearly budget. I'm still (just!) on target but have very little in my freezer / cupboards so need to be more organised this month so I can do both a big top up shop and normal everday spending without blowing the budget!See everyone in May!Mortgage free as of 12/08/20!

Declaring for April and pleased to say I had £65.58 left of my £250 budget. This has been transferred to my Bulk Fund; £10 of which I've spent on 3lb of extra lean stewing beef which I split into 4. Three lots have been frozen and the 4th lot has been cooked into a beef bourguignon for dinner tomorrow and hopefully enough to freeze for another meal for DH and I.
