Looks more like Birmingham to me: that red and white double decker bus looks like a livery used by National Express West Midlands, and that shwarma restaurant comes up as being in Birmingham on Google.

It is Birmingham MothballsWallet. Does that affect my case differently?

@mus2fa1 No, it doesn't, it's just that @Redx mentioned London and the rules against parking on the pavement that apply there but nowhere else because London is "special".

Hi everyone.

So I’ve finally received a LBC from Gladstones solicitors.

I’m a little bit confused as the letter gives me the choice to either pay the debt or dispute the debt. I could not see anything mentioned about disputing the debt in the newbie thread so I’m not sure if this is something new or if it’s a standard letter before claim.

Do I just ignore what it says and email the PPC with a SAR and email Gladstone solicitors? 

Is there a chance that disputing the debt and explaining what nosferatu1001 and KeithP have pointed out will stop them taking it any further, or is that a waste of time?

I have one day left to reply to the LBC I received from Gladstones. I am about to send a SAR via email to Euro Parking Services and an email to Gladstones to tell them to put the case on hold for 30 days. I just wanted to post both of my emails for you guys to see if they are ok or if I need to add anything.

SAR email:

Subject access request ( Data Protection Act 2018 / General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) )

Please supply all the data that you hold that I am entitled to under data protection law  relating to myself.

• all evidence that you will rely on
• a full copy of the PCN and NTK
• a list of all PCNs outstanding against me

You are reminded that any claim must be for all PCNs, not several separate claims.

I would prefer any data you hold about me to be sent to me by post, at my new address.

I am writing in response to a LBC that I received recently (reference XXXX) 

I am seeking debt advice but I deny any debt and the case must be put 'on hold' for not less than 30 days under the PAP for debt claims 2017.

I have sent your client (Euro Parking Services Ltd) a SAR and am awaiting their response. 

Please not that I have moved address. My new address is xxxxxxxxxxx. 

Further, the Government has banned the false 'debt recovery costs' noting that these were never actually incurred because the 'private parking DRAs' were operating free of charge for the parking industry, until the 'fixed late fee' scam was stopped this February.

In his Ministerial Foreword, DLUHC's Neil O-Brien talks of "aggressive debt collection and unreasonable fees designed to extort money from motorists":  https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/private-parking-code-of-practice/private-parking-code-of-practice

Under 'Escalation of costs' the statutory Code states: "The parking operator must not levy additional costs over and above the level of a parking charge or parking tariff as originally issued."

Whilst the Code of Practice is not retrospective, there cannot be a clearer steer for the courts than the fact that the DLUHC has declared the false added fixed fees to have been "designed to extort money from motorists".

Moreover, it is my position that any parking roboclaim legal firm which now issues a claim enhanced by the false 'debt recovery' costs - despite knowing that the DLUHC has banned them and declared this element to amount to 'extortion' - cannot possibly be acting in good faith.

As such, if you do now proceed to issue a claim enhanced by the (known to be false) £60 'fees', I will report you to the Solicitors' Regulatory Authority for breach of the STaRs: failing to act with 'honesty & integrity' or in a way which upholds public trust and confidence:

Trouble is, the new Code has been temporarily withdrawn for now, as we hope you've read on the threads about it.

The forum works best by reading other threads or you will miss updated stuff. We read every post here every day, and reply to them all.

Is there any way that such changes could be added to the Newbie Thread or set as a stickie? I have only found the “Code of practice” thread after your reply or I would not have come across it. 

In terms of my email, if I just remove everything from “Further, the government…” onwards then will that be ok? Is the SAR email ok too?
