And doesnt matter anyway, as the double yellow lines go from the centre of the highway to the property boundary, which is the wall. There is no way that is true private land,2

@nosferatu1001, yes of course you are right that the yellow lines cover the highway to the property boundary, but how can you be so certain that the property boundary isn't where the pavement material changes?
To me, this looks very similar to the Coastway Vets issue discussed last December.

From an enforcement perspective it goes up until you hit a property boundary, which must be a fence, wall or similar. Someone got ticeted on their own land and lost, as they hadnt put up anything physical to mark it. A change in surface is insufficient4

Thanks for that @nosferatu1001. Very useful to know.nosferatu1001 said:From an enforcement perspective it goes up until you hit a property boundary, which must be a fence, wall or similar. So in the OP's case, if the yellow lines are enforceable right up to the property wall, does that mean that a private parking company cannot 'manage' that land even if it is in private ownership?3 -
They could try, but given the DYL would allow loading / unloadiung, for example. then a ticket like that - fort 10 min - would be unalwful, as they cannot restrict what is expressly allowed by statute4

There's your answer @mus2fa1...nosferatu1001 said:...the DYL would allow loading / unloading, for example. then a ticket like that - for 10 min - would be unlawful, as they cannot restrict what is expressly allowed by statute.

Additionally, the CoP require signs at the entrance. Those signs are at the entrance, so would restrict use beyond that point - not before it3

As said, that is not private land for parking enforcement under contract because it will fall under the Local Authority Traffic Order for that street.
