_party_ HAPPY NEW YEAR :beer:Well as they say, "This is the first day of the rest of my new life!" I am more determined to become debt free by 30 which is now officially next year
I am going to ebay like a woman possessed and list as many books as I can on Amazon! I added a few books the other day and I have already sold one which I was surprised about as people say it can take years on Amazon.
I will try to get any extra hours at work and remember to take my packed lunch every day!
Also, I will do a complete makeover on our finances and see where we can cut back and save evn more.
Last but not least! I will do my daily clicks as the name dictates!!:money: Good luck for the New Year :money:LBM 14/12/06 £21,947.17 DEBT FREE 12/04/09

It's too early!
Well let's start as we mean to go on. It is my first day at work and am going in extra early, well early for me! Picking up an extra 3.5 hours :j
As they say every little helps and with my 30th birthday creeping up on me I better start getting really serious.LBM 14/12/06 £21,947.17 DEBT FREE 12/04/09

I have had a very productive day sorting out my unwanted books. I have listed all the ones that I think will sell better on Amazon and now I need to get cracking on my ebay boxes. I have 17 books on Amazon at the moment so finger crossed, and I have already sold 2 so I have £12 in my account.
I now need to really work at my ebay ones as I have 2 big boxes full of books alone and they are making me no money sat under the stairs!
I am also doing some extra hours next week at work so should get an extra £45ish.LBM 14/12/06 £21,947.17 DEBT FREE 12/04/09

Well, my week started off pretty good I worked Monday which I never do and that is an extra £42 :A But then everything went wrong as I have been really ill and spent the last few days in bed
Hopefully I will get company sick pay and not lose out on too much.
I am also on holiday from work next week :j and will make a big attempt to do some ebay listing and try to recoup my loss. I am going down to London for 1 night though to see RentA bit of an unneecessary spend but I am sure it will be worth it!!!
Also, trying to organise this years holiday was thinking Cyprus but not too sure. Hoping to go in June but not sure whether to book now or leave it and see if we can get any last minute deals?LBM 14/12/06 £21,947.17 DEBT FREE 12/04/09

I went to the Trafford Centre last week just to get my eyes tested and I ended up spending A LOT more than I intended.
I ordered new glasses which is a necessity but I should probably gone with a basic pair as appossed to the Prada ones that "I loved." So, on my eye test and my new designer glasses I parted with £225
If only I stopped there!! I decided we should go and price up holidays. Well that was my intention just to get a price and see if we could get it cheaper anywhere else. I don't know how the poor travel agent put up with us! I had her comparing the prices of 7, 10 and 14 days in Magaluf as I thought that it would be a cheap option. There wasn't much in the prices so we decided on 14 days but it was still more than I thought it would be so I thought I would check prices for Cyprus. As it was pretty much the same price we decided on 14 days in Paphos, Cyprus. So, we booked it and paid a £90 deposit! Now we have 2 months so come up with the rest which is £1070:eek: .
The upshot of that day is I spent £315 and have commited myself to another £1070 which in total is £1385:eek:
I also really want to see The Spice Girls in concert and as it could be their last tour and a once in a lifetime thing I think that I should just go for it and to hell with the money!! Bad I know and it is causing me no end of arguments with myself! The problem is that they are only available on ebay and I want floor seats so they could cost about £300 for 2
Am I just the worst MSE ever or a total spendaholic?! Where should I draw the line with spending obscene amounts on things or events just because I really want to?LBM 14/12/06 £21,947.17 DEBT FREE 12/04/09

It's too early for my liking especially as it's Monday and I don't normally work! I just need to think of the extra money and that will keep me going. :A
I was bad yesterday  I bought Spice Girls tickets off ebay and spent £249.44. I borrowed the money off my mum and she also lent me the money for my glasses and we have added it on to what I owe her. The worst part is that I have now not paid anything off my debts this year now :mad:LBM 14/12/06 £21,947.17 DEBT FREE 12/04/09

Why don't you start a snowball on https://www.whatsthecost.com. It will give you a debt free date and you will be even more motivated when you enter overpayments and see that DFD coming down!
I am aiming to pay my debts off by my 40th birthday having spent my 20's and 30's in debt. No more though!Second and final LBM 01/01/11 Nearly got there but fell of wagon. HAVE to do it this time :mad:0
