I am very tired was up for work at 5.30am!! But I have to keep looking on the bright side and think about how happy I will be on pay day. I am so glad it is Saturday tomorrow as it is my last day in my 6 day week. The extra money for this week will be £96.22, yay. That will be very welcome as we need to start saving for our holiday and there is still a way to go if you look at my signature, and only 5 months to go.

I sat down today all determined to do a good hour on slice the pie only to find there are no scouting rooms at the moment. But I have set myself a challenge for February so hopefully they will be back on soon.

Need to keep on top of my ebaying too. I start off with all good intentions and then I don't know what happens. Need to stay motivated and focused on my end goal as I can feel 30 creeping up on me!

I got my lottery ticket out from it's "lucky" place all full of anticipation and unfortunately we did not win  However, congratulations to the 1 person who won nearly £19 million I would still rather it was me though!

Thankfully, I am not in work so I am enjoying my only day off this week! I will be doing some ebay listing as I really do need to start shrinking down these boxes. My oh is getting annoyed at the ever growing number of boxes under the stairs but I refuse to throw anything out as it would be like throwing money away!

I am also going throught our full to bursting freezer and planning the meals for the week. My oh has gone to watch the football so am hoping to be very productive.

  • Hello,

my 30th b/day is the day before yours and I'm striving to be debt-free for then too.

Looking at your SOA - Weightwatchers seems expensive.

I lost a stone through a fab online site called weightlossresources.

It was £9.50 a month or less if you joined for longer.

There were no meetings but that suited me fine as I wasn't massively overweight, just out of shape as a former trainee dance teacher.

    I'm glad it's going well saver03. :j

(The title of your thread depresses me a bit as I wanted to be debt free by 30 and I'm going to be 32 this year so it's unlikely that I will be unless I invent a time machine.:p )

Did my shopping last night and managed to spend nearly my monthly budget. The cupboards, fridge and freezer and fit to bursting though and I have now meal planned for next week too so hopefully we will only need to buy bread now for rest of month.

I have had another money saving idea. As it is winter I will not need to shave my legs as they are constantly covered so I can save on razors :rotfl: I hope my OH doen't mind that I am turning into a gorilla :rotfl:

I have also cancelled my weight watchers subscription so that will save £17.95 a month but I will have to rely on my self control to lose weight and if my debt is anything to go by it is clear I don't have any!!

On the plus side we have 2 months of not paying council tax so will be saving the money towards the holiday. I do need to be as focused on the debt paying as I have with saving for the holiday and I will definately reach my target.

I am now on 3 days off from work :j

I am starting off with the very best of intentions as I plan to do some serious ebaying and finally make a dent in all the boxes. I must not do my usual trick of becoming distracted and then regretting that I have not done a lot.

If I am correct the slice the pie scouting room opens again on Monday so I will be getting stuck into that for my monthly challenge.

We are also thinking about going to Center Parcs in September but we don't really know much about it. We have looked up prices for accomodation and we can get 4 nights mid week for £229 and that is the cheapest we can get. It is just the activities and food we were wondering about as we have no idea how much anything costs once you get there?

Well I must go and get down to my ebaying :money:

  • Hello,

I'm doing weight watchers online and it's only 9.95 per month and if you sign up through top cashback you'll get some money back too... I got £20.00

Well done and good luck - I have a very similar challenge to yours but decided I want to get my debt to start with a 4 before I'm 30!

Well I was very bad the other day as I knew that I would be  I started off with the best of intentions to get a lot of ebaying done but unfortunately I did not  but today I WILL do as I have set myself a little challenge to get all the football programmes listed and I cannot stop until I have. Ideally I would like to do more but best not to over face myself :rotfl:

I have also been on Slice the Pie getting stuck into scouting as I have set myself a target of £30 for February but they have changed the pay prices and at 2p a track I will need to do a lot of reviews, well 1500 to be exact:eek: Hopefully my rating will improve and if I get another star I will get 4p a track.

I also have extra hours at work for the next 3 weeks so that will be a bit extra. :j
