I have just bought some Kylie tickets off ebay for £130 including postage. I feel a bit guilty now but I do really want to go to concert so I am happy I have got the tickets.

Is this kind of thing far to self indulgent and should I be eliminating this kind of spending?

Nahhh..Becoming debt free is like dieting a little bit of an indulgence now and then wont hurt.

Have you saved anyting from buying them on e-bay?

Anyway...debt free before i'm 30 would be wonderful but thats 22 months away so maybe reducing my debt by half by the time i'm 30 is doable?

This site is so motivating and an absolute godsend.
So thanks for being here guys!!

    Life's way too short!

    Hi

I wish you well in your desire to be debt free by 30, remember if you want it enough, you will do what ever it takes to achieve this. Check out this site for more ideas on how to earn money, particulary the Freebies site.

GOOD LUCK and don't give up! I am trying to clear nearly £15k by next Xmas, and it would really make my Xmas next year to be sitting there, knowing I was!

I like this thread! I'd also love to be DF by the time i'm 30 - 19 months and counting :(

I have debt totalling just over £6k - which probably doesn't sound like a lot compared to some peoples massive debts, but I earn peanuts so it's a struggle! Am hoping to get my head round it in 2008 - rather than sticking it in the sand (where it has been for a few years now!)

Good luck to everyone else with the same goal (or any goal for that matter!)
Wondering how to have a life & not rack up more debts...

Can't believe I missed my little funny!!! That is usually my level of humour too!! I too am nearly a dirty thirty well still a bit to go but I can feel it creeping up on me!!

I have also been doing some thinking, not too much as don't want to strain myself so close to Christmas! :rotfl: As in my budget I have £570 for my wages and that seems more than adequate I will be giving any excess of that due to extra hours to my mum and throw it at this debt or otherwise I would waste it!! :A

I am off this weekend in preperation for a very busy week at work next week, I hate retail at this time of year. I will be doing loads of ebay listing as I have set myself a target to have 30 things on by next Thursday. I also have extra hours next week so will be very productive leading up to Christmas but must remember not too blow it all in the sales!!
