oh i've never heard of a 3 bird roast. An old country kitchen i'm reading has an article about a 7 bird roast and showing you how to do it all yourself. i love the idea of it, but hubby not keen at all. and i don't think we'd ever get through that much even if i invited everyone i knew it is huge. and i'd have to cook it in mums aga, as my cooker just not big enough. But a 3 bird roast does sound very special.0

I've heard Tescos have a three bird roast this year for a tenner - has anyone seen it or tried it? Really fancy it and I'd love to order from the butchers or a farm but I can't really afford £40+ for dinner for one day, even if it is Xmas :eek:this comment is currently under construction0

Erm... I know I'll be flamed here but EVERYONE I know who has seen that aldi ad is quite frankly repulsed by it, myself included.
Smushing a load of cheap meat together and cooking it? It was all dripping greasily as well.. bleurgh.
I have no idea why you'd put duck in with chicken and turkey either, it's a pretty different meat...

Don't get me wrong, maybe a nice fresh butcher or organic meat shop could do a good job out of such a strange option, but definitely not aldi.0

IF YOU'RE SKINT......
Do I need it? Can I afford it? Can I find it cheaper anywhere else?
IF YOU'RE NOT SKINT......
Will I use it? Is it worth it? Can I find it cheaper anywhere else?0 -
Devon Rose do one. Not tried it as it doesn't appeal to me but I've had lots of their other meats which have been very good.

Arghhh we don;t have an Aldi on the Isle of Wight so hubby is having a go at making one (God help us!)Hopefully there'll be an Aldi next year and a Waitrose. Stuck with just one big Tesco who don't do one. Off to try and find a recipe for hubby to do now. Any ideas? Will check out HFW's website first.0

I work in a catering company and one of my colleagues was asking about these but couldn't remember what they were called, so googled "three birds in each other"... needless to say what came back was a little different than expected!!Man plans and God laughs...Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.0

I have orderd one from the original farmers market shop in Bakewell. They deliverd overnight and it looks fantastic, can't wait to try it on Christmas day. They are not cheap but the service is excellant.0
