I notice Bencorsa runs down the Aldi 3 bird roast on quite a few forums...i wonder if its the same Ben who runs Fordhams Farm Shop
suspect the meat is British, from the Aldi Uk web site
Aldi has regional buying teams in seven locations around the UK and a particular effort is made to source fruit and vegetables from their local area. Aldi is also proud of its regional relationships with local bakers, for example, Geary’s Bakeries in Leicester. Aldi is committed to sourcing locally and up to 60% of its fruit and vegetables are sourced locally where possible. This varies depending on seasonality and region.

I really enjoyed our 3 bird roast. We had the Sage and Onion one and although it was a bit peppery for us it was still very nice. We will definitely have it again next year and we might try the Cranberry one too.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I always get my Turkey from Aldi. I get the one with Cranberry stuffing and they have always been sesational. However I have noticed I get less and less stuffing each year and thats the bit I love most. This years turkey was dissappointing. The stuffing was sparse and nowhere near as good as normal. But I digress. I also tried the three bird roast. It was so bad I threw 3/4 of it in the bin. It was as if they took scraps from the birds and rolled them up. It was truly awful in my opinion. Just thought I would give a bit of feedback. Hope it helps someone.0

I heard about these three bird roasts in Aldi last year and tried one, it was ok realy. But my friend said they also got one from Fordhall Farm online last year after seeing them recommended in a newspaper. She said it was to die for and well worth the extra expense (as it was Christmas), so I dont know weather to pay the extra and have it from their online farm shop or go for the cheaper option.
How did you find the Fordhall Farm ones?0 -

Duck inside a turkey inside a goose (I think) saw it in their mag the other day.
I only like turkey.
We got a goose for new years day last year & I thought it was horrible.0 -

Has Aldi still got them?
My daughter laughed when she saw the TurDucken on a program last night. I would love to get one of these for New Years day.
Was it Ace of Cakes? They did a great Tuducken cake on there before!
We should probably get one in our house this year as there's always big arguments about what meat to have, my mam always wants a chicken or a piece of beef, my dad always wants something unusual like duck or goose, I'd like something like turkey... this would solve all the argument :rotfl:
I think no-one should order from Fordhall Farm for shameless self promotion! I also wouldn't call £84.99 competitively priced compared to supermarkets when the Aldi one is a tenner :rotfl:D'you know, in 900 years of space and time, I've never met anyone who wasn't importantTaste The Rainbow :heartsmil0 -
I was thinking about making my own: Pheasant in Turkey crown in Goose. Sound ok? Maybe even stuffing made from venison sausagemeat etc.?0
