There is one paving slab and then the road, it probably wouldn’t be too bad if they put a small fence with a gate but it’s literally the paving slab and then the road open plan.

Is the paving slab within your boundary? Is there space to add a fence/barrier? If so, does the property come with a covenant prohibiting this?

Is your one cheaper than the others?

It is definitely going to limit your ability to sell. Look at your own concerns about it.......

  • This is it what do you’s think? Other properties have a brick wall with gate off their front ours is open with a step onto the road. Thank yous all for comments so far.
  • There is going to be one pavement slab before the road. Our drive is on the left hand side of the house therefore we have to walk over the grass front to get to our drive or out of the front onto the road and round seems bizarre to me that they haven’t put a path to the driveway or a path out the front before the road
  • Also in the contract it states we can’t do anything with the front for 10 years which means we would not be able to build a wall with a gate
  • The road is an entrance to a cul de sac car park

??? A pavement slab, or grass? All very vague!
If there's a 'pavement slab' I assume it's not within your boundary it's owned by either the developer or the council. Effectively a 'pavement'. And you can walk round on this 'pavement'/pavement slab to get to your drive...?
  • No there is one paving slab outside the front door which is within our boundary to the left and right of this there will be a grassed area therefore we have to walk onto the road to get to our double drive at the left hand side of the property (sorry so hard to explain)
