I had a Mac-breakfast today too, pay day treat
I hope the wallpaper comes off relatively easily and you get what you wanted to do finished.LMD xxLife gets in the way...PADding is addictive...Saving's better than spending...My savings diary - Now for a healthier, wealthier me2025 1p challenge #41 | Cash envelope challenge #01 | SPC #017Sealed pot 2025 £6573 | EF £1000/£1000 | Sabbatical £3364/£6000 | Travel savings £1508 | Sinking pots £25711 -
Phew what a busy weekend.
Got my keys at about 11am on Friday and I've been up and down all weekend with bags and bags of stuff - why do I have so much STUFF!? Anyway the majority of it is in, my wardrobe is organised, cupboards are all full of shoes, bags, books and other bits and bobs.
Kitchen got scrubbed and organised yesterday and I LOVE IT!!! It's my favourite room in the house.
I met my uncle this morning to give him a set of keys so he is making a start on the decorating today. I'll pop up later tonight just to check the place and see what progress he has made.
It's all so exciting!!!1 -
So wonderful to hear that it all went OK and 11am is earlier than you'd anticipated so that's excellent. I too have accumulated far too much 'stuff' so I'm trying to clear it now as much as possible so I don't pay to get it moved when I don't need it. The kitchen in our new house is what I'm looking forward to the most as well... it's just fabulous!

So my uncle has done the first coat on all the rooms and it looks terrible
Once it dries and he puts on another 2 or 3 coats it will look marvellous I am sure.
Went up to look at the boiler so I could figure out what model it is, got distracted looking at the painting and came back to my mums with no information on the boiler, will go back up later for that.

Haha brilliant.
Honestly I was like oh look freshly painted walls - then when I was home was like dammit no boiler info.
Just got back, managed to take a picture of what I thought was the serial number, turns out it isn't - it does say compact on the front and its a Vokera so I'm gonna contact a local boiler servicing and repair guy and maybe just get it serviced, think he can do it for about £60-ish.
I'll phone him tomorrow to ask.1 -

My uncle phoned this morning to say that I need to strip the wallpaper off the hallway, he did think he could paint over it but the paper is bubbling and the seam are all lifting from the wall. I don't think it will take me that long, I have the steam stripper so might try to do that this afternoon on my lunch break.
Just sorted out the budget for the month and it's looking alright. Will be a few months before things get back to normal, it's always spendy when you just move with having to buy all the wee bits and bobs that you need to furnish a full house.

Be lucky if it takes me an hour.
Just sorted through a load of DVD's I've had in the drawers under my bed. They haven't been touched for years so most of them are going to the charity shop when it opens.
Will let my mum see what she wants then no doubt my brother will take some aswell.0
