Wrong Colour Carpet Delivered

Thanks ThumbRemote
I can't believe it either!0 -
I don't think it's the lighting, but regardless of that, you have knocked back all suggestions of how to resolve this. If you want a resolution, you're going to have to find a way to get the carpet back to them or find a way of establishing the one they've delivered is not the one you bought. If that means you have to wait until lockdown is over, I suggest you take up the carpet, store it safely and return to the shop when you can.TaupeGB said:I cannot take a 4x4 m heavy carpet on a bus and I cannot go to the shop because it is closed, and view carpets by appointment only
The carpet I ordered is on the left, I believe the one that was delivered is on the right (same price)

I also don’t believe it’s the light. It looks like a mistake but it’s going to be very difficult to correct if you don’t go to the store and impossible if they don’t have both of those off cuts in store0

What suggestions do you have to help the OP resolve the issue?

Thanks for all the replies
The store is not open.
As I said in my OP, I mentioned to them that the carpet did not look like the one I ordered, this was as they brought it into my house. I then rang them and said I had taken photos and said I would email the photos, they said OK. They then rang back and said "it is definitely the same carpet you ordered" also "it had writing on it (the sale sticker?) with your name" also "brush the carpet and it will look different" (it doesn't)
They have already completely denied a mistake has been made. It seems that even if I went back, and dumped the carpet in the car park, they would still deny it
I guess I'm stuck with the thing. A carpet i did not choose, that I hate the colour of and is much paler than the one I chose.
I would have accepted their mistake if it looked similar but it is completely different0 -
...a living room carpet as well0

Comeandgo
And that's exactly why I would have never have picked a carpet so pale. Never mind the awful bright concrete grey colour.

Then your only option is to be firmer than 'mentioning' it is the wrong carpet. Unfortunately as time ticks on this makes it more difficult. However, you need to let them know it IS wrong and irrespective of what they say was written on it. It is your word against theirs but if you are 100% correct then you need to make them understand that you are not accepting what you didn't order.TaupeGB said:Thanks for all the replies

Then you need to wait until the shop is open again - which will be soon - and you will need to go in in person to sort out a solution. If you manage to get back to the shop on the day it reopens you may be fortunate is seeing the original carpet still in situ.0
