Happy Saturday folks. Just a quick update from me this morning as I’m enjoying family time.£1 PAD sent to CC7 this morning and it’s NSD #10 for June.I had an email from Credit Karma this morning that my score has increased again so that’s good. Must be from a reduced debt perspective as nothing else has changed.
That’s pretty much it from me for now. Thanks to TOMM I’ll be going home to a clean and tidy house too 😊

A credit score increase is always good, as it's going in the right direction

A late update from me, but I've been travelling back so it's not been possible to update properly.
£1 sent as a PAD to CC7 this morning and it's been a NSD so that's a positive. I'm working all week and will be super-busy so hoping to get some more NSDs in this week.

So, Monday again and I am back and focused after a lovely weekend away. Today is not a NSD as I have arranged to go out with my sister tonight. It will be a low spends though, as nothing extravagant on a school night. I did use my spend day wisely though and bought a new desk pad that I had in my Amazon basket.
PADs made, £1 to CC7 and £2 to sealed pot. Busy day at work so I am sure that today will fly by. I have 1 more week to pay day and I'm definitely counting down again!
I hope everyone's doing well and had a great weekend

Phew, just caught up on your diary after being away on holiday!
Your MOT suspension issue is what all four of my wheels have as an advisory from last years test so I am expecting to fail because of this... knowing it cost you £150 to fix one I am already in pain knowing I may be shedding out £600+ for all of mine
I may have to look into this TOMM online as it does sound as though I could benefit hugely from this mentally! Great going with your PAD's!Debt Remaining: £8,781.53

Aww thanks, I just keep on plodding as you do! I could’ve probably shopped around to find the work cheaper but time was of the essence. The cost also included the test cost itself of £30. If you have the time see what you can find…Life gets in the way...PADding is addictive...Saving's better than spending...My savings diary - Now for a healthier, wealthier me2025 1p challenge #41 | Cash envelope challenge #01 | SPC #017Sealed pot 2025 £6573 | EF £1000/£1000 | Sabbatical £3364/£6000 | Travel savings £1508 | Sinking pots £25711

I've just realised our car is due it's MOT this weekend....Dreading it as I suspect there will likely be a few issues on it. We're doing what we normally do and letting the car go in and then fixing anything that the MOT reports. This is a new (to us) car we brought in 2019 and it was from 2016 so never been through an MOT before so not expecting any great issues but the fact it should have had MOT 2 years ago makes me think there'll be some niggly issues!!2

Hopefully it will all go well. A lot of it depends on the type of car and how it has been used. Hoping any issues are low cost for you.I do use my phone reminders tool to alert me 6 weeks before it’s due and then I aim to take it a calendar month before which gives me wriggle room. Unfortunately due to many variables, I ended up taking it later and therefore had to get the fix done quickly- lesson for next year!

My MOT and service was done in April and I clearly can't read properly as I 'd left it to the last minute and it was booked in on the day that the MOT expired. Also, I booked it in at the wrong garage! Luckily, I couldn't remember how to get to the preferred garage without google maps and so it took me to the place I'd actually booked in. But I was shocked when I arrived, as I realised I'd done it all wrong
. So lessons learned for me too, but I will try and save some money towards it next year, as I'm still recovering from having nothing set aside and needing to pay for works to be done. It was a nightmare.
I googled TOMM @Squirrelz92, and it took me to this site, which is helpful, https://www.theorganisedmum.blog/tomm.Debt Free Diary:- The Mental Debt Struggle

I think because it's only a once a year thing it's quite easy to lose track, especially with mine as it's not the same time as the service and road tax renewal. I'm sure we will ALL be more wary next year
@Keedie and @Squirrelz92 - that's the right place to be for TOMM, there is also a Facebook page and Instagram page. Facebook is good as you can ask for help and tips from other members. I hope you both get something out of it, it was such a breakthrough for me.
Have a good evening all
