Please may I have the link as well for EE? I've been following the TOMM mode of being over this past week also, after you and @shell16 wrote about it. I love it. I used to spend my time wondering what to do first, never making my mind up, then opting to watch the tv instead. That just resulted in having to spend practically a whole day trying to get through all the chores and I detested having to do those chores. Now, it's much more under control and what a relief. Brilliant info, thank you x4

Morning everyone. It's another beautiful sunny day in Yorkshire! Time to get the bedding through and on the line for sure.
Up early today and made my £1 PAD to CC7, today will be another NSD for me, 13 for June so far. I have a friend coming for dinner tonight which will be nice as so far this week I've mainly been chatting to the dog as hubby is away now.
At the weekend I was chatting to a family member and we got onto the subject of the cost of living going up and no pay increases etc and how it's getting really hard for people. They have opened up that they are currently in a really tough spot and will really struggle for the next few months (they're moving to a cheaper place in the autumn). So I have leant them the remainder of my EF until they are settled in the new place and can pay me back.
I did this for a number of reasons.
1 - family is the number 1 priority, always.
2 - my EF is there for me to use, if anything happens to the house, we have the house EF for that
3 - I know that they would give me their last £1 if I needed it
4 - I'm now in a place where I am comfortable with my finances and know I can afford to have a life and pay my debts.
Anyway, that's my update for today. No more Vinted sales for ages, even though I have reduced a number of my items
Have a lovely sunny day!
LMD x

That's so great. Part of why I decided to sort my debts out by time I'm 40 is because I want to be able to put serious money away in savings....As when I'm 40 my daughrer will be turning 7 and that gives me 11 years to save up before she's 18 and hopefully going off to Uni....So it would be awesome to have 10 years+ worht of savings behind me instead of 30 years worth of debt meaning I can help her out!2

What a lovely thing to do. I’m glad you still have the house EF in place though.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

I'm really happy for you that you're in a position to do that for your family member and I bet you've made a massive difference to their stress levels and outlook on life over the next few months
.
I'm also looking forward to the day that I can be debt free and in a position to be able to help my son when he's off to uni, as he's 15 now, I'll only just be debt free, but I'll be able to give him an allowance like my mum did for me in my final year when I was too stressed out to hold down a job and I was desperate for money.Debt Free Diary:- The Mental Debt Struggle
