Thanks - I suspect my own will be a longer read. I'm anticipating 2 years but I think I will have to readjust to pay less than what I'm doing now after a year or so and that will slow things down....But what I've now learned, any payment is progress....especially when you don't spend willy nilly!!!1

It's a truly brilliant read @LittleMissDetermined and well worth the time as I learned a fair bit from yourself and the methods you practice to become debt free! Heck I wouldn't be making PAD's now if it weren't for reading your diary and reading how much of an impact it makes to debt overall.
Jealous of how much washing you got done yesterday! Planned on putting the bedding in this morning but woke up to grizzly weather and its staying like this all dayDebt Remaining: £8,781.53

@Squirrelz92 it's brightening up here now so hopefully we will have a good day ahead. Glad I could help you out with some of my methods
PAD's made £16.40 to various places, today will be NSD #2 for June.
Friday Finance update is as follows:- Cash £10
- Car account £4607
- Bills Account £404
- Spends account £271.11
- EF £422.28
- Sealed pot £1973.36
- Debt Free by Xmas £7785.20/£8k
- Gift cards* £495.57
- CC7 £7346 (0% to Oct 2023)
- Available credit £72,600 (10.1% utilised)
Overall they're not looking too bad, if my new debt free date is 27th September 2023 then I'm looking at £15 a day to get it cleared. 480 days to go...
I had an email from Clearscore last night that my credit score with them has increased to 822, so this gives me the encouragement that I'm doing the right things in terms of my debts.
Well, I'm off to make some scrambled eggs for breakfast before contemplating starting some DIY, always a gamble when hubby's at work
Have a good bank holiday Friday

The pots are looking fantastic, the dfd is a great idea I think for myself it would be a bit demotivating atm though 😂 Oooh what DIY are you having a go with? X1

Thanks, they're not in bad shape at all. DIY today is finally filling the picture hook and screw holes from our stairwell (no idea who needs this many hung pictures in one space) and sanding them back ready for painting. It's the last job on our to-do list really as we knew that sanding back could ruin the carpet and there was no point in replacing the stair carpet until the last DIY thing was done. It makes sense to us

Forgot to mention, I have started journaling (if that's the correct term) I love to write and it helps me with my anxiety so I thought I would give it a try. Only on day 2 but we will see how it goes.

It 100% makes sense, about a day after i decorated and recarpeted my stairs the roof had to be repaired…it made so much mess in the attic so when I opened the hatch it was a nightmare 😂😂😂
I love the idea of journaling, I tried a few years ago but didn't stick at it I felt very self conscious no idea why 🙈 might actually give it another go so thanks for mentioning that x2 -
Your pots are looking fabulous I must say! Incredible how your DFD is just over a year away! You must be soooo excited to almost be able to jump over that hurdle! I too would love to perhaps work out a reasonable debt free date @Throughmyfingers but I don't want to let myself down if it comes and goes.
I must ask @LittleMissDetermined, why are your PAD's so often over the £5 mark? It's brilliant that you can throw that to the CC some days but where does it come from? (me now naturally thinking I am doing my PADding wrong with rounding down to the nearest £5)Debt Remaining: £8,781.53

Some of my PADs include direct debits for bills I have going out. So it might include the pet insurance or health plan. But I ALWAYS may a payment to my debts too. Even a £1 helps. When it gets to the end of the month I do increase my amounts depending on how much I have left before pay day, so at the end of May there was even a £20 chucked at CC7 one day.Life gets in the way...PADding is addictive...Saving's better than spending...My savings diary - Now for a healthier, wealthier me2025 1p challenge #41 | Cash envelope challenge #01 | SPC #017Sealed pot 2025 £6573 | EF £1000/£1000 | Sabbatical £3364/£6000 | Travel savings £1508 | Sinking pots £25712
